Job Overview:

Lexia Learning, a fast-growing Cambium Learning Group company, is currently seeking an experienced and driven Field Marketing Manager to join the strategic marketing team. Lexia helps 5 million children learn to read through the use of technology.

Reporting directly into the Sr. Manager, Regional Marketing, the Field Marketing Manager is assigned a specific regional territory where they are responsible for collaborating with Sales and Solution Marketing to provide strategic and specialized marketing expertise for multiple high-impact campaigns and programs in order to drive pipeline growth. They will focus their efforts on recommending and evaluating conference and sponsorship levels with key regional associations, develop specific territory marketing plans using regionalized knowledge of the territory, develop and manage campaign and monthly reports to help drive decisions and recommendations, and recommend advertising and syndicated content opportunities associated with state and regional industry associations. The Field Marketing Manager acts as the main liaison to Regional Sales Managers. They will also draw upon their marketing expertise to develop customized programs based on market needs, while managing and executing program deliverables.

Location: This is a USA, remote position.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Plan, design, create and execute multi-tactic marketing programs for both demand generation and lead nurturing programs. Tactics may include content syndication, email marketing, events and webinars, direct mail, telemarketing, print advertising, internal and external newsletters, etc.
  • Develop and write marketing messaging materials targeted to buyer personas and tailored to specific states and accounts. Inform customers and prospects of Lexia’s thought leadership, build brand awareness, and establish Lexia Learning as the market leader in literacy learning.
  • Partner with Product Marketing, Solutions Marketing, Sales, and external resources to create targeted messaging and content to support brand awareness and demand generation, i.e. content for our website, digital ads, landing pages, emails, video, interactive, etc.
  • Provide highly disciplined and organized project management and excellent communication across functional teams.
  • Build strong partnering relationships, collaborate and manage inside and external resources as needed to execute programs.
  • Analyze results of marketing programs and identify ways to improve effectiveness.
  • Identify, qualify and manage internal and outside agencies as needed to execute activities.
  • Develop and create annual marketing plans, and identify the knowledge the sales team needs to be successful.
  • Develop and execute customer acquisition programs to drive significant customer and sales growth in assigned region.
  • Create, test, and optimize campaigns iteratively to maximize conversion.
  • Provide reporting and actively monitor and analyze the health of marketing contribution to the sales pipeline, program ROI, customer acquisition and penetration, contact acquisition and activity.
  • Partner with Marketing Operations and Shared Services to drive marketing database strategy and execute on campaigns, i.e. design and editorial services.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree with Marketing specialty area of focus preferred.
  • 7+ years total marketing experience with 3+ years of experience developing and executing successful demand generation programs, delivering growth, and increasing ROI highly preferred.
  • Must be a strong communicator and collaborator with ability to elicit ideas and feedback from a variety of organizations.
  • Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Strong project management skills, to own project plans through the lifecycle of various projects.
  • Experience in education technology, publishing or software marketing is required.
  • K-12 experience preferred.
  • Experience working with internal stakeholders to create messaging and collateral.
  • Experience working with graphic designers or creative professionals to develop collateral that reflects the product brand and needs of the target audience.
  • Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives with little supervision.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Experience generating and tracking leads in and analyzing data.
  • Proven experience in a wide variety of inbound/outbound marketing disciplines, including social media (i.e. Facebook, LinkedIn), paid and organic search, advertising, retargeting, email, direct and event marketing.
  • Experience with Account Based Marketing preferred
  • Exceptional command of the English language including verbal and written communication skills.
  • Manage budget, develop and execute quarterly and annual strategy and tactical plans, and evaluate ROI of all campaigns and events in assigned territory.
  • Takes initiative and functions effectively, both independently and as a member of a team, with a willingness to take on and assist with routine and last minute projects.
  • Occasional travel to assigned regions in support of sales (10%).
