POSITION DESCRIPTION

PowerMyLearning is seeking an energetic and experienced K-12 educator who is passionate and skilled in finding, vetting, and incorporating high quality online digital resources into their teaching. A key member of the Content Team, the Content Manager will lead the end-to-end process of publishing digital learning activities, assessments, and playlists to PowerMyLearning Connect in order to make the best publically available digital content available to teachers, students and families around the country and beyond. S/he will provide project management support to the Content Associate and subject matter consultants, and will report to the Director of Content.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with the Director of Content to create content development plans that meet PowerMyLearning's instructional design priorities, content specifications, and quality standards
  • Develop and continually refine plans and systems for publishing, editing, and quality assurance of digital learning activities, assessment items, playlists, and other content
  • Lead and manage the publishing, editing, and quality assurance of content on PowerMyLearning Connect, including tagging to Common Core and/or Next Generation Science Standards
  • Train and support other staff and consultants in publishing, editing, and quality assurance of content on PowerMyLearning Connect
  • Work with the Director of Content, and Math and ELA consultants, to identify high quality content in Math, ELA, and other subjects

REQUIRED CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS

  • Passion for PowerMyLearning’s mission and values
  • Strong working knowledge of digital learning landscape, especially open educational resources (OER)
  • Strong working knowledge of Common Core State Standards in Math, including best practices for determining and creating alignment of digital learning content to standards
  • K-12 teaching experience, preferably in grades 3 – 8, with strong background in Math, and experience incorporating digital resources
  • Strong project management skills including ability to multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills, especially writing and editing succinct externally-facing text for teachers, students, and families
  • Strong follow-through and ability to be self-directed
  • Exceptionally organized with great attention to detail
  • High level of comfort working collaboratively as part of a cross-functional teams
  • Proficiency working with spreadsheets, Google Drive, and content management systems
  • At least 5 years’ experience in education, digital learning, educational publishing, online content management, or related field
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant area

REQUIRED CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong working knowledge of Common Core State Standards in Language Arts, and Next Generation Science Standards
  • Master’s degree

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

Compensation will be competitive and commensurate with experience. PowerMyLearning also offers medical and dental insurance with an employee contribution.
