Executive Assistant to the CEO

About the Role

New Classrooms is seeking an ambitious person with superior communication and organization skills to provide administrative support to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The Executive Assistant will manage all aspects related to the CEOs calendar, travel, external communications, any other projects deemed necessary for organizational growth.

Strong candidates for this role are eager to work in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment and have an interest in learning more about the inner workings of the externally facing functions within an innovative non­profit organization.

What you Would Do

  • Manage the CEO’s calendar by understanding scheduling priorities, setting up necessary meetings, protecting the CEO’s time, and adjusting as necessary
  • Keep the CEO’s interactions with external contacts updated in Salesforce and keeping him accountable for next steps and follow ups
  • Book travel, manage expense reimbursements, and complete the CEO’s bi-monthly timesheet
  • Provide support for scheduled meetings as required
  • Support board logistics including scheduling meetings, taking attendance, coordinating board member schedules, and day of meeting logistics
  • Manage external communications and ghost write emails for the CEO
  • Compiling decks to be presented by the CEO to external audiences
  • Support key initiatives and projects within fundraising, marketing, communications, and sales as necessary

What We are Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Strong organizational skills and highly attuned to details
  • Familiarity with Google suite of work tools, particularly Calendar
  • Effective, compelling communication skills – written and verbal (work product samples will be required)
  • Comfortable creating trackers and dashboards in Excel and presentations in Powerpoint
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse team members
  • Ability to problem solve and prioritize, especially when dealing with conflicting priorities
