Emote - Remote - Full time

Summary:

Growing mental-health needs in schools have increased demand for Emote 13x in the last 6 months. We are hiring this role to help us keep up with this growth by making our CEO and team more effective, efficient, and productive. You will be involved with nearly every component of the business and as such the right fit will have a quick opportunity to grow where your interest takes you.

*Please include your favorite organizational tool/strategy in your cover letter.

About Emote:

80% of students have unsupported mental health needs. Our educational institutions just aren’t able to keep up. Emote is a rapidly growing edtech company changing the way school staff are able to understand and support mental health every day.

We are making an impact across schools in 18 states and 3 countries - a footprint that is rapidly growing with the added needs of remote education and the emotional impacts of our current environment. We have a small (but quickly growing), passionate, and mission-driven team that has led 13x growth in the last 6 months.

About the role:

We are looking for someone who thrives in figuring things out (often independently and in unchartered territory), excels at process creation and optimization, enjoys wearing many hats, excels in written and verbal communication, collaborates well with others, has high emotional intelligence, and proactively fixes what needs fixing. This person is excited by the opportunity to grow within the role and within our organization. Consequently, we will give them as much responsibility as they can handle.

You will be the glue in many of our efforts and support the execution and organization across a diversity of projects. This could include everything from planning/running webinars to documenting our sales processes to organizing calls with customers. You will report directly to the CEO but work with the whole team. Most importantly you will bring a very unique and critical skill set to our team!

You will be a good fit if you...

  • intuitively and joyfully create systems and processes
  • are a creative and resourceful problem solver
  • can manage multiple projects
  • are technologically savvy
  • have strong executive functioning skills
  • are a good listener and question-asker
  • accept ambiguity and strive for structure and clarity
  • are ready and willing to take on any project that aides the CEO or the team's productivity
  • have an education background (preferred but not required!)

Why join Emote:

  • An opportunity to bring mental-health support to millions of students
  • Rapid growth opportunities across the company
  • Boundless space to learn from a team of highly talented and innovative peers
  • Competitive base + bonus
  • Medical, dental, and vision Insurance
  • Unlimited paid time off
  • Home office stipend

Bring Your Whole Self:

We believe diversity breeds innovation. We're building a product that improves the way all teachers and all students are supported, and to do that well we need a tea that is representative of the population we serve. We are actively looking to add members to our team who will bring diverse backgrounds, new perspectives, and a willingness to challenge us to improve the work we do every day.
