IXL Learning - Remote - Part time

IXL Learning, a leading educational technology company with products used by 13 million students worldwide, needs teachers and tutors to create video tutorials. In this role, you will create short instructional videos teaching students writing and grammar concepts in grades 6–8 and preparing students to do well on an associated IXL skill.

This is a 1099 consulting role.


  • Create short instructional videos targeting individual IXL language arts skills for grades 6–8. Most videos will be up to 5 minutes long.
  • Conceptualize, shoot, and produce your own videos that explain the given writing, grammar, or vocabulary concept and walk through examples.
  • Deliver video lessons in a clear, engaging, upbeat, and professional manner.
  • Adhere to video production guidelines and file specifications.


  • Experience teaching or tutoring middle school writing and grammar
  • Experience recording, editing, and producing videos
  • Ability to present material in an engaging, effective manner
  • Understanding of age-appropriate vocabulary and instructional approach
  • Bachelor's degree preferred

Select candidates will be asked to complete their application by submitting a sample video outline. If selected to create a full video, you will be compensated with $300 USD upon delivery of the completed video and, if necessary, video edits. Candidates with the top videos will be eligible to create more videos.
