Our Advancement Team will work with you to approach instruction with patience, creativity, and a growth mindset, while using instructional methods that will motivate our learners.

We are looking for educators who are reflective in their practice and are willing and able to engage neurodiverse learners.
***This is for an IN PERSON position. You must be local/close enough to drive to Los Altos***
Position Details
Major Duties and Responsibilities, but not limited to:
Identify and develop curricula suitable for the program you’re instructing. Curricula should be thematic and provide youth with multisensory, evidenced-based, sequential, common core learning standards-aligned learning experiences.
Collect data and monitor individual student performance, adjusting instruction and support as necessary to ensure progress toward goals
Assess and analyze students’ performance and progress to ensure they are mastering developmental skills regularly
Present ideas and suggestions for improving programs as often as possible.
When presenting a problem or offering constructive criticism, also offer an alternative solution.
Participate in professional development meetings and opportunities to further enhance your expertise as a teacher
Submit session notes after each session, and update reports as requested.
When directed, attend meetings with the executive team as needed to assist in program delivery
Develop and maintain positive, collaborative relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
Work with the Director of Educational Services and pod lead to oversee the implementation of programming.
Requirements
● A Bachelor’s Degree at minimum
● Certification in a multisensory programming such as Orton-Gillingham, Wilson Reading System, Lindamood-Bell, Social Thinking, Making Math Real and Step up to Writing
● Capable of identifying and developing curricula suitable for all programs taught with a clear understanding of support for students who struggle with reading, writing, spelling, Executive Functioning and/or math.
● Either a valid (or eligible for) Teaching and/or Education
Specialist Credential (Special Education - Mild to Moderate with Autism
Authorization) OR proven experience in tutoring a multisensory reading program
● Comfortable with technology platforms including, but not limited to, G
Suite (Google Docs, Google Drive, Google Slides, Google Sheets, Google Meet), Microsoft
