NeuroMethod Tutoring - Multiple Locations - Full time

We are looking to fill an immediate opening for a full-time or part-time Educational Therapist/Tutor/Learning Specialist/Executive Function Coach with paid prep-time!

Cover letter required.

Do you want a career in Education that will pay you competitively and pay you for ALL of your work time, including prep time, not just session time?

Would you like to work for a company that has a positive impact on the world?

Would you like to be part of a small, family-owned business where you will be personally mentored by the founder and owner of the company?

If you answered yes to any of the above questions, this may be the job or you!

We are a conscious company whose culture is built on mindfulness and non-violent communication (NVC), as developed by Marshall Rosenberg. We are a safe workplace that supports diversity of ethnicity, gender, and sexual orientation. We want all of our employees and clients to feel safe, respected, and supported for who they are.

We are a company that focuses on the empowerment and independence of our students by taking a psychological approach to tutoring. We provide tutoring that draws from neuroscience, psychology, peak-performance coaching, mindfulness, and education. We provide tutor-training in these areas.

Our learning specialists / tutors are responsible for supporting the mastery of content as well as each individual student's process of learning. We work both with students who have learning and/or psychological challenges, as well as top performers who want to take their skills to the next level.

A thorough background check will be part of the application process.

We see students 7 days a week during the day, evenings and/or weekends. Please specify your availability and preferred days off in your cover letter.

  • Openness to learn to tutor multiple subjects, at least at an elementary or middle-school level.

Should you decide to apply, please send a resume and a cover letter (including your email and phone number in the cover letter).

Please send a resume that is a realistic representation of the experience that you do have, not a resume that exaggerates related experience for this position. A lot of related experience is not necessarily required, and we value authenticity and honesty.

In the cover letter, let us know why you want this job. Tell us about your availability and your aspirations. In the first line of your cover letter, please include the number of “Required Qualifications” that you meet and list the requirements that you do not meet. For example, put “Tutor: Paid Prep Time – 9/10, B.A. in June 2018”, meaning that 9 out of the 10 “Required Qualifications” are met, with the exception of having already earned your Bachelor’s degree. Then please mention any of the “Preferred Additional Qualifications” you meet. Do not worry about exceeding the word limit suggested by Indeed for your cover letter. If you have things to tell us, please feel free to make your cover letter a bit longer.

Full-time or part-time (up to 40 hours per week, including paid prep time and paid training time, minimum commitment is 25 hours per week).
