Educational Support Specialist-Professional Development Consultant

Supporting Our Schools:

Provide end-user telephone and email support; provide best practices as teachers contact our customer consulting team. Use subject matter experience to create resource guides and user documentation. Interact with company software programmers as it relates to the training and support needs of the schools and districts; provide usability feedback on software products in development and full functionality testing prior to the release of new software features to our education partners.

System Implementation and On-site Training:

Travel to school districts throughout the country to conduct on-site training and implementation of the assessment management system, helping to familiarize educators at the school or district level with the basic functionality of the software (approximately 15 - 25% travel required). Develop instructional outlines, course curricula, assessments, and reference material to assist in classroom, online, and video instruction. Conduct webinars for educators to provide best practices and classroom application to enhance their utilization of our system at all levels within the school district.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Teaching experience required (3 - 5 years minimum)
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the education field along with technical knowledge for this hybrid role
  • Strong knowledge base of various applications required, including Windows, Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat
  • Knowledge of Chrome, Internet Explorer, FireFox and Safari web browsers is needed
  • Training and curriculum development experience (online, web, and classroom)
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, including listening, written, and oral presentation

  • The ability and desire to travel and work flexible hours to provide training and support to multiple sites and locations across the country
  • Must reside in the Greater Chicagoland area
