Educational Sales Consultant, Rosetta Stone, Southwest,Pacific Northwest (Remote)

IXL Learning, a leading edtech company with products used by 13 million students worldwide, is seeking an Educational Sales Consultant to join our Rosetta Stone, Language Learning team. We are looking for creative thinkers who can master our strategies and processes, and then come up with even better ones. This is a remote position for candidates located in Washington, Oregon, Arizona, Nevada, or Utah.


  • Manage geographic territory to achieve all sales goals, particularly new sales goals
  • Work with a partner to manage renewal clients and achieve sales goals
  • Collect and report market information and trends to management
  • Understand and be able to communicate how Rosetta Stone products and technological architecture delivers on customer requirements to produce compelling value propositions
  • Deliver product presentations
  • Draft plans for new account development
  • Accurately maintain and use a sales force automation application to manage sales activities and all data specific to your territory
  • Be able to input new orders into billing and implementation systems with an acceptable level of accuracy
  • Maintain account records consistent with sales department policy
  • Prepare sales forecasts
  • Prepare sales call reports, monthly travel schedules, and bi-weekly progress reports
  • Produce proposals to develop and close sales
  • Provide market feedback, competitive information, product development input, etc., to management
  • Perform multiple tasks at a high level with some training and supervision


  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years direct sales experience and account executive/ field territory management background
  • Consistent track record of plan attainment in field or inside sales environment. History of in-person, on-site selling skills also desired
  • Proven and continued success in selling and closing customers, creating value, and managing a pipeline
  • Demonstrated ability to close new business opportunities and meet new revenue targets on an ongoing basis
  • Strong speaking and presentation skills
  • Professional use of a variety of sales tracking tools
  • Ability to produce sales results based on defined needs of both customer and management
  • Proper and effective use of sales tools for planning, forecasting
  • Ability to develop account relationships and collaborate with management on strategies to achieve new revenue goals
  • Experience working with large organizations
  • Experience in sales of software products, SaaS, or learning content.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills required
  • Ability to overnight travel 50%+
