IXL Learning, a leading edtech company with products used by 13 million students worldwide, is seeking an upbeat, focused, high-energy individual to join our Inside Sales team for Vocabulary.com. The Vocabulary.com platform is a rapidly-growing platform with about 2 million students worldwide and over 46,000 schools and districts.

The ideal candidate will be goal-oriented and tenacious with a natural sales instinct. You will have experience working with technology and assisting customers. We are looking for a self-starter that will support our rapidly growing customer base.

An Educational Sales Consultant is responsible for engaging inbound leads, advancing the sales process, and closing new business opportunities to meet or exceed sales quotas. An Educational Sales Consultant for Vocabulary.com also conducts prospecting research to identify new leads and reach business targets.

This is a full time position in our Raleigh, NC office with a hybrid work schedule.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

  • Conduct outbound calls and qualify inbound sales leads to communicate Vocabulary.com’s value proposition to new users and to identify their requirements for the sales team
  • Ensure the timely processing of leads and assist with and support sales campaigns
  • Communicate clearly the progress of campaigns to the sales team
  • Identify growth opportunities for the sales teams to ensure growth attainment
  • Conduct web application product demonstrations virtually using screen share technology

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • BA/BS degree
  • Inside sales experience, preferably within the edtech or software industry
  • Ability to use academic language to effectively communicate with building administrators, superintendents, and teachers
  • A high level of self-motivation, energy, and drive to succeed
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively
  • Experience in delivering client-focused solutions based on customer needs
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects at a time while paying strict attention to detail
  • Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Excellent verbal (telephone) and written communications skills
  • Understanding of web applications; Salesforce.com experience is a plus
  • Ability to accommodate various time zones is a plus
