We’re looking for an experienced educational designer (level 2) to join our busy and growing team and is located in our Seattle offices. This is a temporary role that is anticipated to last for 18 months and will be eligible for company benefits.

In this role, you’ll work with our Education, Research, and Impact team to conceptualize, develop, and write cutting-edge, research-based social-emotional learning materials for high school students.

The successful candidate will be a self-motivated and resourceful professional with a proven ability to work independently, collaborate with staff across departments, have excellent communication skills on all levels, and work well with advisors such as educators, researchers, and other professionals.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Assist with program design and conceptualization
  • Develop and write program content to reflect input from research experts and practitioners
  • Collaborate with Education, Research, and Impact team on all developmental functions during the entire life cycle of a program
  • Provide information or training to clients and other external individuals about program content


  • BA in curriculum and instruction, instructional design, curriculum development, education, or equivalent (graduate degree a plus)
  • 3–5 years’ professional experience conceptualizing and writing curriculum and educational materials
  • 3–5 years’ experience collaborating on project/product teams
  • 1–3 years’ experience teaching in a high school setting
  • Experience creating research-based educational materials for high school students and educators
  • Understanding of pedagogical strategies and best practices in teaching adolescents
  • Experience developing digital materials
  • Experience working with a highly collaborative, fast-paced, agile product team
  • Demonstrated competence in working with diverse populations, including culturally diverse groups and those with special needs
  • Ability to travel locally, regionally, and nationally (up to 20%) and have own transportation for local field test and pilot observations
