Overview

The Education Sales Specialist is responsible for prospecting, qualifying and generating new sales leads to support sales to schools and educational related centers.They must also professionally handle incoming requests from customers and ensure that issues are resolved both promptly and thoroughly.This individual will be a highly motivated, self-starter able to identify and develop new business prospects from multiple sources including inbound marketing leads, prospect lists, discovery and individual research. A dynamic personality with a drive to reach decision makers is essential!

The Education Sales Specialist is expected to:

  • Develop new business via telephone and mass communication such as email and social media to introduce our STEM learning tools and identify appropriate buyers within the target market.
  • Follow up on leads and conduct research to identify potential prospects.
  • Interact with customers in response to inquiries, concerns and requests about products and services.
  • Deal directly with customers either by telephone, electronically or face to face
  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries
  • Obtain and evaluate all relevant information to handle product and service inquiries
  • Provide pricing and delivery information
  • Represent Zyrobotics at conferences and trade shows
  • Set up new customer and distributor accounts
  • Process orders, forms, applications and requests
  • Develop and grow the sales pipeline to consistently meet revenue goals.
  • Manage data for new and prospective clients in our CRM, ensuring all communications are logged, information is accurate and documents are attached.
  • Prepare and analyze sales reports and dashboards.

    Required experience and knowledge

  • Proven sales experience in the education marketplace
  • Strong phone presence and experience dialing dozens of calls per day
  • Proficient with corporate productivity and web presentation tools
  • Ability to close sales and meet sales goals
  • Experience working with a CRM
  • Proficient in MS Office products (Excel, Word, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint)
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Minimum BA or BS
