Education Pioneers is currently accepting applications for the EP Impact Fellowship from professionals who want to use their background in data analysis to transform the education sector.

Fellows are placed on a 10 month role or project with leading education organizations, using existing skills in data analytics and strategic project management to drive impact. Fellows participate in leadership development programming alongside a diverse cohort of peers designed to build their knowledge and mindsets necessary to grow as a leader, become change agents and build their professional network.

After the Fellowship, Pioneers gain the unique support and networking opportunities offered by EP and our robust nationwide network of more than 3,500 Alumni. Currently:

  • 72% of EP Alumni continue to work in Education and EP leaders in education serve as senior managers at three times the rate as their private sector peers
  • Over 90% of Alumni believe EP is an asset to their resume
  • 81% of EP Alumni hold an advanced degree from top business, policy, and or education programs

Position Overview:

Education Pioneers currently partners with over 200 organizations throughout the US including the New York City Department of Education, Oakland Unified School District, Uncommon Schools, the United States Department of Education, Teach for America, and more. Fellows hold various roles depending on their placement. Previous Fellows have:

  • Analyzed student assessment data to help teachers and school leads make data informed decisions regarding instruction strategy & design
  • Analyzed a charter management organizations operations to identify best practices and implemented standardized processes across the growing network
  • Utilized teacher performance data to develop a mentorship programs pairing experienced educators with new teachers
  • Built a financial model to evaluate & forecast the compensation structures for staff and teachers to support a 5 year strategic growth plan

Our Pioneers come from diverse backgrounds including investment banking, consulting, and others from the social impact landscape.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in data and analysis and/or project management (Professional experience outside of the classroom is strongly preferred)

Strategic, creative problem-solver

Ability to take initiative and drive results

A track record of success in academic and professional settings

Strong communication skills to effectively communicate with diverse colleagues and stakeholders

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree required

Two years of full time, professional work experience, which excludes undergraduate or graduate internships

Authorization to work in the United States on a full-time basis for the entire program (international students eligible only if visa assistance is not required)

Commitment to the full program term including the ability to complete 10 consecutive months of employment, attend workshops, and other mandatory aspects of the Fellowship
