We are looking for a curriculum developer to join our team of game designers, developers and course developers to plan and author activities that teach programming to K-12 students. You will be responsible for making these activities teacher friendly, mapping them to educational standards and maintaining and improving the curriculum based on learning feedback from students. You will also author and manage several product-related documents such as help guides, quick start guides, scope and sequence and several internal and external documents. Your educational insight, creative ideas and strong writing skills will drive the success of our products in schools.

  • Must be passionate about creating new and fun ways for kids to learn
  • Advanced degree (MA, MS,M.Ed., PhD) in education, instructional design or a related field
  • A strong background in Computer Science and programming is preferred
  • Must have over 5 years experience as a teacher
  • Experience with different instructional design principles and pedagogical methods in K-12 including self-paced instruction, constructivist thinking, and project-based learning.
  • Must be able to talk to subject matter experts and articulate abstract concepts in clear, easy-to-follow directions for both teachers and students
  • Proficiency in making presentations, help documents and other related e-learning materials
  • Must be self-motivated, proactive and able to work well within tight schedules and with minimum supervision
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Portfolio required for consideration

Bonus points for the following:

  • Detailed knowledge of standards such as CCSS, NGSS, CSTA
  • Experience authoring content for eLearning systems and MOOCs
  • Experience with UK and Australian standards
  • Basic working knowledge to edit HTML, CSS and XML
  • Ability to make technical videos that explain concepts
