We're Hiring! Experienced Edtech Sales Executives Needed Across the Country - Territory Available, All Major US Markets

A new nation-wide sales team is being created for a suite of interrelated digital, print, and blended solutions for the K-12 classroom market. Our new innovative and compelling digital adaptive learning platform has a focus on English Language Arts, with later rollout in science, social studies, and computer science. This flagship product suite will empower teachers and students by helping them personalize reading and writing instruction, develop critical language skills, and assess performance.

We have a long history as an innovator in K-12 education and have been known in education for years not only in the US, but also in all English language markets and ELL markets around the world. We’re already engaged with educators across the country and serve millions of students in North America. The new sales team for this product will have an open door with a known company name, and a company already present at trade shows throughout the country. We work side-by-side with educators and school leaders, fitting our products into the classrooms and providing implementation assistance and customer service all the way.

We are seeking experienced ed tech sales reps across the country who will become an expert on our solutions, identify opportunities to serve schools, and achieve revenue goals. The candidates should be experienced within their geographic area selling into the K-12 market. You’ll be a good fit if you are skilled at consultative sales, highly motivated, and prepared to build this new business. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of success selling ed tech instructional products, possesses knowledge of the K-12 market, works well in a fast-paced environment, has a high energy level, and is driven to achieve sales goals.

Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain expertise on the product

Research competition to strategically drive new sales

Maintain an understanding of state standards, purchasing requirements and industry trends

Build solid relationships within the territory at the school and district level

Develop and maintain a pipeline of opportunities and follow up on territory management

Provide timely and accurate reporting of pipeline and forecasts

Achieve quarterly and annual revenue targets

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree

10+ years of successful, recent, sales experience selling edtech products to K-12 schools and school districts

Experience in prior outside sales roles in K-12 edtech sales is required. This is not an entry-level position. Resumes without this experience will not be considered.

A quota-carrying individual contributor, known in the marketplace, established within a geographic region

Proven ability to manage a multi-million dollar pipeline of opportunities, while providing excellent service to existing accounts

Experience selling at the district level within the assigned region, where currently residing

Excellent verbal and written presentation skills

Experience selling to districts within the assigned region

Must be able to travel within the assigned territory each week, as needed, and also travel for occasional national meetings, trade shows or events

Demonstrated ability to work independently, past experience with working remotely in a home-office, with minimum supervision, knowing when to travel to manage demos and close deals.

Preferred Qualifications:

Proven knowledge of the education sector and core curriculum market in ELA products

Familiarity with state and local adoption timelines for technology based materials

Knowledge of state standards, aligning curriculum

Compensation:

Base salary plus commission, with benefits and travel reimbursement
