Edtech Inside Sales Reps

Headquartered in San Francisco, CA, Piper is an award winning STEM Education Company empowering inventors of tomorrow through technology-driven play. We are building a new inside sales team with a focus on the K-12 market. We work with educators and school leaders, providing products for the classroom, with curriculum and professional development. We are seeking experienced edtech inside sales reps who will become an expert on our product, identify opportunities to serve schools, and achieve revenue goals. You’ll be a good fit if you are skilled at consultative sales, highly motivated, and prepared to build new business across the US. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of success selling edtech products, possesses knowledge of the K-12 market, works well in a fast-paced startup environment, has a high energy level, and is driven to achieve sales goals.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain expertise on the product
  • Research competition to strategically drive new sales
  • Maintain an understanding of selling to educators and industry trends within the K-12 market
  • Build solid relationships with prospects at the school and district level
  • Develop a pipeline of opportunities, and follow up on leads with the use of Salesforce.com
  • Provide timely and accurate reporting of pipeline and forecasts
  • Achieve quarterly and annual revenue targets with a hunter mentality
  • Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 2+ years of sales experience
  • Excellent verbal and written presentation skills
  • Experience in a startup environment
  • Ability to work in a San Francisco office in the Dogpatch area
  • Must be able to travel, as needed, for occasional national meetings and trade shows
  • Bonus points if you have
  • Knowledge of the education market with connections in schools and districts
  • Sales experience with a focus on the K-12 education market
  • Familiarity with state standards for technology based products
  • Ability to geek out a bit and really relate to STEM educators
  • 1+ year Salesforce.com experience
