The Role:

We're seeking an Editorial Project Manager to join as the newest member of a growing Content Development team and support large-scale editorial projects. Though you can be trusted to work independently, you are a collaborative team player; you’re also energetic and passionate about education. You'll work directly with our Director of Content Development, Educational Program Managers, and Educational Content Specialists; cross-functionally across other Course Hero teams; and with external content service providers and subject matter experts. Ultimately, you’ll manage the content pipeline that allows the team to create engaging content at scale to help students graduate confident and prepared.

Here are some ways you’ll make an impact:

  • You’ll manage schedules for multiple projects with extremely tight deadlines.
  • You’ll collaborate with our internal teams, such as Product, Analytics, SEO, and Design, to support the creation of content specifications and guidelines.
  • You’ll oversee third-party vendors, including writers, editors, proofreaders, media specialists, etc.
  • You’ll ensure on-time delivery, and adherence to both style guides and acceptance criteria.
  • You’ll manage copyright filings with careful attention to detail.
  • You’ll QA text and visual content, before and after publication.

Are you our Star Editorial Project Manager?

  • You have 2+ years overseeing large-scale editorial projects or teams.
  • You’ve earned a BA/BS Degree in an applicable field.
  • You have superior time-management and prioritization abilities. Specifically, you have a strong ability to simultaneously manage several projects and work within multiple deadlines.
  • You love project management tools and love using arcane functions in Google Sheets, Excel, or other spreadsheet applications.
  • You have excellent written and verbal communication skills. In addition, you are highly organized, analytical, and are skilled in research methods.
  • You’ve gained experience working in a collaborative environment, though you’re also self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • You possess a keen eye for detail.

Bonus Points:

  • You also have broad interests and knowledge in a diversity of academic subjects. You have teaching, tutoring, or educational publishing experience.
  • You’ve developed strong connections within the education market and/or with professors.
  • You’ve worked (and can thrive) in a startup environment.
  • You have experience working with freelancers and vendors.
