The Selection Manager will join our eleven person, highly collaborative recruitment team. They are responsible for screening and interviewing candidates for all Edgility recruitment engagements. They will also be a key contributor to the Edgility recruitment team, with the opportunity to engage in special projects and initiatives related to the improvement of our selection practices.

The ideal candidate has an unapologetic equity and inclusion lens for improving educational and life outcomes for all students, an understanding of high-quality client service delivery, and a desire to leverage their interviewing and project management skills to help our Search Leads assess diverse pools of highly-qualified candidates for their searches. This person is a focused self-starter who is comfortable working independently. This position is remote.


The Selection Manager’s responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Screen and interview candidates to advance the most promising individuals to the next stage(s) in the hiring process;
  • Build and maintain relationships with candidates throughout the full hiring cycle, and strategically manage candidate relationships to ensure high offer acceptance rates;
  • Analyze selection metrics and feedback from clients to advise on improvements to selection processes;
  • Organize and manage candidate selection processes internally, including maintaining accurate and up to date records of candidate materials, communications, and all outreach efforts;
  • Create supporting search materials including job promotional materials, selection process tools, and client collaboration tools;
  • Contribute to special projects and firmwide initiatives.


A successful first year in this role for the new Selection Manager will include:

  • Seamless and efficient support of the launch and execution of executive searches, including assessing video interviews and leading phone interviews and effective communication with candidates and client representatives;
  • Effective maintenance of the Edgility candidate database, LinkedIn records, and other data tools;
  • Production of consistently high-quality work products, including job descriptions, phone interview guides, external documents, and other client-facing materials;
  • Effective sourcing for contingency projects and other shorter term recruitment engagements that lead to placements.


In order to fulfill these responsibilities, the ideal Selection Manager candidate will be:

  • A professional with a minimum of 3-5 years of work experience, preferably in a hiring function with interviewing experience in the field of education or nonprofit management;
  • Detail oriented and organized; able to balance strong project management skills with the ability to see the big picture industry trends and recommend process improvements when needed;
  • An excellent communicator, able to build and maintain strong relationships with colleagues, clients, candidates and partners;
  • Culturally competent and self-reflective, someone who maintains a strong growth mindset and desire to learn and grow as a professional;
  • Highly skilled at managing up and anticipating needs from others in the firm, demonstrated ability to adjust to different work and communication styles;
  • Flexible and nimble; comfortable working in an entrepreneurial environment with high accountability and low-to-moderate supervision; experience in the youth development nonprofit sector and/or K-12 education strongly preferred.


This position offers a competitive salary range of $70,000-80,000 (plus a 10% bonus potential) and robust benefits including medical, dental, and retirement. More details can be provided upon request.
