As Edgility continues to grow and expand our Talent Equity Consulting practice, we are creating a Principal role to help fuel this effort. Our Talent Equity Consulting practice helps our clients create equitable and transparent talent development, management and compensation programs. The Principal of Talent Equity Consulting will lead consulting engagements, expand upon and codify service offerings, and serve as an external ambassador and thought leader for the practice. This opportunity offers a seasoned talent and equity leader the opportunity to design, grow and facilitate an impactful suite of services that will serve to establish equitable talent practices in the education and youth space. Principals independently oversee all aspects of engagements, including business development, client relationships, the full consulting cycle, and the allocation and management of resources on a project basis.

The ideal candidate has experience in and a passion for education, a deep commitment to establishing talent practices to further social justice and equity, a proven track record of high-quality client service delivery, and a desire to leverage their project management and relationship building skills to help our clients create better education and life opportunities for students. Key Responsibilities of the Principal, Talent Equity Consulting include:

  • Cultivate and maintain a portfolio of business aligned with the firm’s consulting offerings and equity mission;
  • Expertly lead client engagements, serving as an executive coach and facilitator to client liaisons, leadership teams and design committees;
  • Manage all resources to successfully achieve project objectives including budget, people, and systems;
  • Contribute to, and lead, efforts to expand our Talent Equity Consulting practice and codify service offerings;
  • Serve as the external ambassador and thought leader for the practice to disseminate our insights and build our brand as an expert in the field.


A successful first year in this role for the new Principal, Talent Equity Consulting will include:

  • Successful leadership of several consulting engagements;
  • Codified vision for Talent Equity Consulting service offerings and accompanying approach, process and tools;
  • Growth of the compensation and consulting practices to support the expansion of the team.


In order to fulfill these responsibilities, the ideal Principal, Talent Equity Consulting candidate will be:

  • A professional with a minimum of 10-15 years of work experience, preferably in an executive level role in a talent and human capital function in the social sector;
  • Deeply knowledgeable about all aspects of equitable talent management practices related to compensation, talent acquisition, talent development and career growth, and performance management;
  • Experienced in program and/or product design, particularly in a consulting context (internal or external);
  • Familiar with K-12 schools and the education/youth development nonprofit space;
  • Experienced in forging partnerships and business relationships with others (preference for someone who has worked in sales and/or client services);
  • An excellent communicator who can build and maintain strong relationships with colleagues, clients, candidates and partners;
  • Culturally competent and self-reflective, someone who maintains a strong growth mindset and desire to learn and grow as a professional;
  • Flexible and nimble, comfortable working in an entrepreneurial environment;
  • Skilled in strategic planning, project management, and organization; able to focus on key organizational priorities without losing sight of the details;
  • Interested in mission-driven, social justice organizations, especially those serving children and families.


This position offers a competitive starting salary of $140,000 as well as a performance bonus and commission bonus. We also offer benefits including medical, dental, and retirement. More details can be provided upon request.
