East Bay Innovation Academy, Executive Director

East Bay Innovation Academy - Oakland, California - Full time

ORGANIZATION

East Bay Innovation Academy (EBIA) is a college preparatory public charter school in Oakland, CA with a mission to prepare a diverse group of students to be successful in college and to be thoughtful, engaged citizens who are leaders and innovators in a 21st-century global world. EBIA is rethinking how schools are run and structured so that they better reflect the needs of a 21st-century world. While most schools have not changed their models in over 50 years, our world has, leaving many of our schools, even the “best” ones, behind. EBIA offers a powerful option for Oakland families and educators to build a diverse school that addresses the needs of the 21st-century and beyond. The school has a collaborative, personalized, and project-based multi-disciplinary model that incorporates technology, blended learning, social-emotional learning, service-learning, and data-driven instruction to engage students in scientific, mathematical, literary, historical, and artistic pursuits. With 630 students across its middle and high school campuses, EBIA serves a truly diverse group of students who represent the racial, cultural, and socio-economic demographics in Oakland.
