District Partnership Coordinator - Inside Sales

TechSmart is a Seattle, WA based EdTech company that empowers teacher to reach all students with coding & computer science. We partner with school districts to provide Teacher Coding Bootcamps, a K-12 Curriculum Pathway, and a cloud-based Teaching & Learning Platform.

We are looking for a business development professional to join our passionate team committed to growing K-12 Coding education. The role, District Partnerships Coordinator, is new and the person to fill it will be part of an early stage sales team. The ideal candidate will actively participate in developing and implementing the company’s growth strategy as well as traditional sales functions. Thus, this role strikes a balance between high-energy development activities and methodical analysis of strategic plan deployment. As the first District Partnerships Coordinator, you will play a key role on the revenue team, building and expanding key K-12 district partnerships while collaborating with the Chief Revenue Officer to help operationalize the strategic growth plan. 

Expect to:

- Collaborate with our sales, implementation, and curriculum teams providing real-time market feedback on sales process, marketing strategy, and product demos

- Make an impact on the lives of tens of thousands of elementary, middle, and high school students by developing partnerships with their school and district administrators sharing the critical coding skills that drive our modern economy

- Grow personally and a professionally with a young, growing company that is expanding customer base and developing new markets across the US

Job responsibilities include:

- Input on sales growth strategy

- Sales pipeline development through inbound and outbound interactions with the K-12 education market

- Individual sales quota made up of new accounts and customer expansion

- Collaborating with other members of the sales team to build and maintain a sales pipeline

- Market research of key targets and new territories

- Conducting web-based sales calls and product demos

- Accurate, on-time record keeping in CRM and other business productivity systems

Job requirements include:

- BA/BS degree or higher

- 2+ years experience selling SaaS solutions preferred

- Basic knowledge of K-12 education market

- Track record of achieving and exceeding sales quotas

- Experience with Salesforce (or like) CRM and web presentation tools

- Self-starter, proactive, and able to work with minimal supervision

- Strong listening and presentation skills

This is a full-time position based in our downtown Seattle office, with up to 10% travel.
