Director, Sales Enablement – Portfolio

The Director, Sales Enablement - Platform leads a small team responsible for equipping the field team with the information, content, training and tools they need to sell our Curriculum Associates Assessment and Learning system more effectively. This team must understand our customers, our market-leading portfolio of products, and educational topics.

The Sales Enablement Director for Portfolio gets to know and deeply understand both our customers and the story of the complete integrated system of our i-Ready products. You will work cross-functionally to develop clear, compelling positioning tools for sales that speak to the reports and tools available to educators as well as future program enhancements.

With strong written and presentation skills and the ability to synthesize complex information, you will work closely with our product management, marketing and field teams to ensure that our sales team members have the right content and knowledge to have effective conversations with their customers and deliver revenue growth.

The impact you’ll have:

1. Portfolio strategy, messaging and differentiation

  • Work closely with product management team to understand roadmaps
  • Collaborate with product marketing to create compelling assets that connect product features to benefits and help educators understand how product improvements drive gains for students
  • Collaborate with product marketing and product development to develop resources for field teams that speak to our platform, assessments and “big picture” trends and topics.
  • Collect the voice-of-the-customer from sales and service teams and translate that voice into actionable plans to drive program growth.

2. Collaboration & Communication

  • Partner with field and regional marketing teams to support strategic sales initiatives, driving new business and customer retention
  • Align closely with product marketing, leadership, learning & development and field teams to create training materials and tools that enable sales to articulate how our platform and assessment portfolio of solutions helps schools and educators address some of their biggest challenges.
  • Apply best practices in the areas of content management, training, playbooks and sales operations so that the sales team members have the right content and knowledge to have effective conversations with their customers and deliver revenue growth.
  • Support field team knowledge building around assessment through Q&A response and development of internal reference resources.
  • Develop deep product expertise and serve as a go-to resource for field teams.

3. People Development

  • Coach, manage, develop, and support a talented, passionate, and committed team to help customers and succeed in their careers.

What we’re looking for:

  • 10+ years of professional experience in product marketing, product management, campaign development or a related field for a technical product
  • Experience creating marketing materials, customer-facing product documentation, or support resources
  • Experience managing complex projects or teams
  • Understanding Agile software development process
  • Strong people management and people development skills, including coaching and mentorship
  • Extraordinary organizational, verbal, and written communication, and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated effectiveness working cross-functionally and collaborating with a broad spectrum of stakeholders.
  • Results oriented – able to complete projects in a timey manner to a high standard to drive outcomes
