At Move This World, we’re looking for a full-time Director of Training & Impact to strengthen educators’ mental, emotional and social wellbeing through creative practices and experiences. This opportunity is based out of our Brooklyn, NY office.

About Move This World:

Move This World is the leading provider of social-emotional learning (SEL) multimedia experiences for PreK-12 students, educators, and families. Each piece of educational content is delivered through short interactive lessons and is grounded in the goal of empowering students to navigate the rapidly-changing realities of their world – both in the classroom and throughout their lives. Designed for implementation that is both impactful and simple, the MTW platform allows educators and families to incorporate SEL into their students’ schedules every day, without planning or prep. The extensive multimedia library provides a robust and engaging daily curriculum- experiences designed to empower students by strengthening the skills that foster wellbeing and establishing a common language among students, educators, and families. These multimedia experiences are rooted in creative expression and participatory movement. Move This World has already impacted the lives of over 2 million students across 42 states.

About the Role:

As a member of Move This World’s Program team you’ll be responsible for delivering and overseeing the implementation of creative arts based professional development trainings to strengthen the mental, emotional, and social wellbeing of educators across the country. You will also be responsible for program evaluation and measuring and ensuring the efficacy and impact of the MTW Digital Platform and professional development offerings. You will work across teams and manage consultants to ensure the MTW PreK-12 curriculum continues to be best in class.

You will deliver and oversee the strategic scaling of professional development for Move This World school leaders and teachers at public, charter and independent schools across the country. You will be responsible for building, maintaining and growing relationships with our school leaders and teachers, acting as the expert of Move This World’s experiential approach to professional development and supporting educators to use Move This World’s tools to its fullest potential. You will lead the development of new trainings and facilitations, and you will support Move This World’s Program team to facilitate professional development experiences across the country.

You are a master facilitator, keen at creating spaces where individuals can share honestly and vulnerably and groups become more resilient as a result. You have excellent project management skills and thrive in a fast paced environment where you are working on multiple projects at once. You know and respect that teachers and students are facing new and unique challenges everyday and you want to help them overcome these obstacles. You understand the role that mental health plays in the success and happiness of students, teachers and leaders. You’re detail-oriented and flexible, willing to do what it takes to help our partner schools thrive. You prioritize your own wellbeing and creativity and encourage those around you to do the same.

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate Move This World’s professional development programs for educators and leaders.
  • Evaluate individual school needs and develop professional development plans that will ensure Move This World’s success alongside other social emotional learning or behavior management initiatives.
  • Support colleagues in facilitating Move This World’s professional development programs and build systems for scale.
  • Advocate and communicate the needs of our school leaders and teachers to the rest of the organization.
  • Gather feedback on Move This World’s professional development program from teachers and school leaders in order to identify opportunities to improve client experience and Move This World’s products.
  • Assist in the ongoing development of professional development materials and additional resources for school leaders and teachers.
  • Manage expert curriculum consultants to ensure full scope and sequence content is developmentally aligned PreK-12, trauma informed, and incorporates the latest research in mental health, creative arts therapy, and social emotional learning.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to assist in the creation of user stories, case studies, and Move This World’s brand ambassador program.
  • Identify new and creative ways to guarantee program success and manage other projects that will improve school leaders’ and teachers’ experiences with Move This World.
  • Oversee the monitoring and evaluation of Move This World efficacy, including but not limited to research and academic partnerships.
  • Maintain an understanding of social emotional learning, emotional wellbeing, and education technology industries.
  • Support the internal professional development of the Move This World team in related subjects.
  • Other duties, as assigned by the Director of Program Operations.

Qualifications:

  • Experience with live and virtual facilitation.
  • Experience working in a school setting is preferred.
  • MA or higher credential in the mental health, arts or education sector is preferred
  • A highly creative individual who possesses self-confidence, flexibility, and positive energy, and who thrives working in a dynamic environment.
  • Troubleshooting and problem solving skills, with creative ability to overcome challenges and problem solve.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and project management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to take ownership and accountability.
  • Ability to travel occasionally.
