Travel: This role requires frequent travel to partner schools, which may include overnight stays due to the geographic location of your partners and occasional travel for team and org-wide offsites. On average you can anticipate 5-10 days of in-person interactions per month, which will fluctuate based on your portfolio of partner schools, and 2 in-person all team/organization multi-day offsites per year.

THE OPPORTUNITY
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled instructional leader to serve as a Director of School Support (DSS) to serve schoolsvirtually and in person. This is a unique opportunity for an outcomes-driven educator to enact change in the classroom through coaching and supporting school leaders. The DSS will work with leaders to ensurea school culture where learning standards, data, high quality curricula, and teacher development are used to achieve breakthrough learning for students. The DSS will be responsible for coaching and developing leadership in a portfolio of up to 12 schools focused on meeting partner needs.The DSS will report the Coaching Impact Lead,work alongside peer coaches, and collaborate regularly with ANetters who support partnerships and programming.
WHATYOU'LL DO
Partner with and coach school leaders to strengthen equitable instruction and increase student achievement
●Diagnose and address school inequitable practices through data analysis, stakeholder engagement, and collaboration with leaders to co-construct a comprehensive support plan aimed at promoting equity and inclusion for all students.
●Serve as an instructional leadership coach for school leaders, inspiring and motivating teams, supporting school-wide change management, and building expertise in standards-based and data-driven instruction and teacher development
●Train and coach school leaders and teachers on effective backwards planning using state standards, complex texts, curricula and myAnet resources to achieve student mastery of grade-level content and addressing unfinished learning
●Develop school leaders and teachers on effective use of data frominterim and other school-based assessmentstoidentify student strengths, target student misunderstandings and improve teacher practice
●Analyze student data and use research-based practices to inform an individualized strategy for coaching each school
●Build and maintain strong relationships with school leaders and teachers that establish ANet as a key partner in increasing student achievement
●Work alongside other ANet team members to share learnings with district teams and strengthen coherence between system and school level work
Develop a strong network of ANet schools
●Connect school leaders with other schools to facilitate best practice sharing
●Design and lead professional development sessions for groups of school leaders and teachers
Support internal ANet strength andgrowth
●Develop tools, coaching strategies, and innovative ideas for the organization that improve our ability to coach schools
●Serve on internal ANet special projects that may include anti-racist leadership, network event coordination, professional development planning and facilitation, strategydevelopment, recruiting and hiring, and sales

The salary range for this position is $97,200-$145,800. New staff members typically start between the range minimum and midpoint based on qualifications, experience, and internal equity. In order to uphold our commitment to equity, ANet does not negotiate pay.
