About the Role

About the Team

The Program Framework department will be responsible for the strategy, direction, and definition of the Teach To One (TTO) program design. The team will guide the overall program design and steward the alignment of implementation with that design. Design activities encompass the TTO program as a whole, including Instructional Design & Progressions, Implementation, Scheduling, Technology, User Experience, and more. The team will work closely with the Chief Program Officer and Chief Academic Officer to ensure a cohesive vision for the TTO program, and use that vision to guide its design and development.

This is a new team and all of the roles on the team are new, as such successful candidates for the team will be entrepreneurs, ready to partner and collaborate to figure out how the work will be done. Relatedly, members of this team will have the opportunity to shape not only how they work but to shape the future of TTO: Math.

About You

-You enjoy working collaboratively to solve complex, multi-faceted problems You have the ability to use both inductive and deductive reasoning;

  • Inductive Reasoning takes observations and then uses those observations to come up with a general theory. They find the clues, make observations about them and then come up with a theory of what happened.
  • Deductive Reasoning starts from a general theory and then works towards a specific hypothesis that can be tested.The scientific method uses deduction to test hypotheses and theories.

-You have a proclivity for Pattern Recognition & Algorithmic Thinking; a way of getting to a solution through the clear definition of the steps needed

  • the ability to analyze given problems
  • the ability to specify a problem precisely
  • the ability to find the basic actions that are adequate to the given problem

What you would do

-This role represents the opportunity to work closely with expert peers to design, drive forward and steward the future of personalized daily scheduling for TTO: Math.

  • Deeply understand current academic progression rules, operational configurations and scheduling implications
  • Engage with the Data Solutions team and collaborate with data scientists on the New Classroom team Invoking a data science mindset
  • Drive the path forward for the personalized daily scheduling strategy for TTO: Math - in service of increased operational efficiency and improved student outcomes, in partnership with the Chief Program Officer and other framework team members.

What We are Looking For

  • BA degree required, graduate degree preferred (any related discipline)
  • 5-7 years of experience in K-12 program design, instruction and/or operations. Focus on implementing personalized or blended learning strategies preferred
  • Demonstrated track record of creating and implementing innovative educational practices that improve students results
  • Strong analytical track record of using data to drive improved student and operational outcomes
  • Demonstrated passion for/commitment to innovation in education
