Our PersonalizedPD product combines 1:1 coaching, an innovative fast-cycle learning methodology, and proven instructional strategies to help educators create more learner centered environments in K12 schools. The Role:

You will work with the CRO and the sales team to bring Personalized Professional Development to districts and schools across the country. You will begin in your role as a player coach, you’ll have a quota but will dedicate most of your time to being a mentor and manager to the seasoned reps on the team. You’ll execute data-driven hiring, training, and coaching strategies designed to help BetterLesson achieve repeatable, scalable growth in sales.

As an integral part of our Growth Team, you'll support the Chief Revenue Officer and partner with Marketing, Product, and Partner Success teams to develop K12 partnerships to scale the growth of our business.

Responsibilities:

  • -Meet or exceed personal sales goals by using a consultative selling approach
  • -Manage sales team, revenue forecasting, and pipeline review activities to achieve territory plans and company revenue goals.
  • -Building on the company’s early district wins, work with sales team to create strategic territory plans that will achieve company goals for sales and impact.
  • -Create an elite sales team for BetterLesson by creating a winning sales hiring formula.
  • -Create a world class training program that ensures team members understand BetterLesson’s purpose, unique selling proposition and qualifying matrix. Help new hires understand how to be an effective partner at each stage of the buyer/customer journey as quickly as possible.
  • -Create & manage an effective metrics-driven sales coaching program to reinforce growth mindset and develop skills that will have the biggest impact on sales performance and productivity.
  • -Partner with marketing to experiment and refine demand generation and qualification activities.
  • 30% - 50% travel required

Desired Skills:

Excellent organizational and writing skills with the ability to handle multiple projects and meet strict deadlines. Ability to mentor/influence team members to ensure territory plans and revenue goals are being met. Positive attitude and excellent communication skills. Experience building bridges as you are crossing them. Desire to work in a fast paced environment, with multiple and changing priorities while maintaining strong focus on execution and results.

Qualifications:

  • Has sold in the EdTech space for 8+ years with high quota attainment
  • Has been effective in a highly consultative sale at the district level.
  • At least 4 years sales management experience.
  • Experience working with SalesForce
  • Excellent management + interpersonal skills
  • Excellent writing, presentation, data, and problem-solving skills
  • Embraces risk, speed, & failure as some of life’s greatest teachers
  • Has a passion for education
  • Embraces and exudes experimentation & startup hustle
  • BA/BS preferred
