The Role
JoVE is seeking a driven and seasoned sales professional to oversee the sales operations for the North America market. This position will report to the VP of Sales.
Responsibilities:
- Take leadership of established regional sales teams across US and Canada
- Direct and coordinate the sales activities of the team as you generate new opportunities in JoVE’s largest single market
- Develop sales talent to prepare the next generation of JoVE Account Managers for our growing line up of STEM video titles.
- Manage a large book of renewal business
- Meet and exceed the assigned sales targets in the Americas
- Monitor buyer/influencer motivations, competition, and sales cycle to determine focus of sales efforts.
- Coordinate with the marketing, customer success, and sales development teams to expand our business year over year.
Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s Degree
- 5+ years of direct experience managing a sales team
- 10+ years of experience in sales
- Proven ability to drive the sales process from start to close
- Excellent negotiation and leadership skills
- Proven ability to lead a national team with members across region
- Demonstrated success in recruiting account managers from internal and external sources and effectively coaching them to become contributing members of the team
- Experience working in online publishing/e-learning is a plus
