Director of Sales and Partnerships, Higher Education

ReUp Education - Multiple Locations or Remote - Full time

We’re looking for a results-driven Director of Partnerships & University Sales to actively seek out and engage prospective clients in the Higher Education industry.

The Director of Partnerships & University Sales reports directly to the Head of Sales and will cultivate and manage a robust pipeline of opportunities with colleges and universities. You are responsible for building the client list by rapidly developing your expertise in the degree completion crisis in higher education, and sharing how ReUp has the solution for helping stop-outs through to completion. What we do

Founded in 2015, ReUp Education is the only organization that focuses exclusively on helping colleges and universities engage and re-enroll the more than 40% of US students who have “stopped out” and support them until graduation, through our technology-enabled service. To date, we have re-enrolled over 10,000 students and recaptured over $35 million in tuition for our university partners.

What you'll do

  • Present and promote ReUp Education’s products/services as a trusted advisor to existing and prospective customers.
  • Establish, develop and maintain positive business and customer relationships
  • Qualify inbound leads, including initial follow-up and leading qualification calls.
  • Conduct product demos, provide price quotes, coordinate meetings with key decision-makers and members of ReUp
  • Gather and assemble customer information & documents throughout the sales process to closing.
  • Take ownership of deals and develop a skill set for larger, complex opportunities.
  • Maintain and update sales collateral, including product overviews, pitch decks, basic screencast videos, customer proposals, etc.
  • Partner with COO to develop appropriate contracting language for each opportunity.
  • Generate new leads through prospecting and in collaboration with sales support and marketing resources.
  • Representing ReUp at relevant industry conferences.
  • Leverage social media and other thought-leadership materials or content as a means of creating inroads with potential clients.
  • Generate weekly and quarterly reports on the sales pipeline and key sales metrics.
  • Document all customer information and interactions in the sales CRM (Salesforce) tool.
  • Coordinate sales effort with team members and other departments
  • Analyze the territory/market’s potential, track sales, and status reports
  • Travel 40% of the time to industry conferences (some back-to-back), client-facing visits, company retreats, and occasional in-person team meetings.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • 5-10 years of working in a business development, sales, and partnerships capacity within higher education.
  • Experience in an ed tech and/or startup company is a big plus
  • Consultative seller, deeply connecting with customers rather than working from a standardized script.
  • Extraordinary track record of bringing in new clients to a fast growing organization.
  • Strong working knowledge of Salesforce.
  • Continuous improvement mindset, in which you naturally collaborate with teammates to share best practices and refine a scalable sales process.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Be equally comfortable with virtual sales calls (phone and video conference) and in-person customer meetings. Experience using basic remote employee technology such as Slack, GSuite, Microsoft Office, RingCentral, etc.
  • Collaborative team member who thrives on working and learning at a fast pace.
  • Comfortable working with a mostly remote workforce.
  • Experience as an account executive/sales lead in a company both emphasizing technology and human services.
  • Able to sell in a fluid and evolving product and service environment.
