Director of Sales and Marketing

As education moves to remote and distance learning format, Cognii's innovative AI powered tutoring and assessment solutions are transforming education and training industry.  Cognii Virtual Learning Assistant uses conversational pedagogy to provide highly engaging personalized tutoring and automatic assessment of written answers with immediate feedback.

We are looking for a passionate sales and marketing executive to manage the rapidly growing business. The primary focus of this position is sales in Higher Education market, with some possibilities of engagements in the K-12 market. Location will be remote.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years experience in sales-related roles in edtech space
  • A good understanding of the education ecosystem and EdTech trends
  • Familiarity with the U.S. Higher Ed market and K-12 market
  • Entrepreneurial - quick learner and relishes new challenges
  • Effective communicator - written and spoken
  • Strong work ethic, track record of high productivity
  • Operate independently, attention to detail, strong follow-through
  • Creative, innovative, holistic thinker
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred
  • Team player, collaborator, and facilitator

Responsibilities:

  • Develop sales campaigns for different segments of the education market
  • Execute on all aspects of sales – from prospecting to ongoing relationship management
  • Represent company at leading EdTech conferences and make presentations
  • Build strategic partnerships
  • Explore new markets
  • Be a key member of team developing and testing new product and service offerings, positioning, marketing and sales collateral
  • Implement a scalable sales process and train the sales team
