Director of Professional Learning

Folio is seeking to add an integral position to our team, a Director of Professional Learning. The Director of Professional Learning will serve as the trainer, facilitator, and organizer for the educational programs that support our Folio member schools, ranging from delivering Implementation Workshops to helping design the Summer Institute. This person designs new programs, resources, and tools to engage and strengthen our Folio schools and promote the value of the organization and myFolio platform. The Director of Professional Learning will also be expected to maintain relationships with current Folio users and help cultivate relationships with new schools.

This opening is for someone who can work remotely most of the time with an interest in traveling to visit our member schools and collaborate with our Folio team in person, when possible.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate training and professional learning experiences at and for member schools, including: Implementation Workshops, the Summer Institute, Mastermind calls, leadership workshops and online course offerings through One Schoolhouse.
  • Design new professional learning offerings for members schools and/or identify areas of improvement based on member feedback and educational trends.
  • Create tools and resources to support professional growth and develop written content for our newsletter.
  • Serve as the lead point of contact at Folio for all professional learning and training needs, problem solving when challenges arise, and ensuring the delivery of solutions according to member schools’ needs and objectives.
  • Operate as a member of a two-person, highly collaborative team with the Director of School Success, responsible for member success and professional learning for Folio’s approximately 150 member schools.
    • Serve as the account owner for a portion of the Collaborative’s member schools, monitoring implementation of the myFolio platform, holding check-in calls over the course of the year, and providing coaching support to help those schools meet their goals around their myFolio platform use and professional growth.
    • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting member relationships, problem solving when challenges arise, and ensuring the timely and successful delivery of solutions according to member schools’ needs and objectives.
  • Manage partnerships related to professional learning design and delivery and build relationships with organizations, including educational associations.
  • Stay current on educational trends related to leadership and adult learning through continual research and attending conferences.
  • Collaborate with the Folio team to deliver a seamless support experience for our schools.
  • Prepare reports on account status and maintain and update technology systems related to Folio team work, including Google Suite, Salesforce, Asana, Slack, Pendo, Zendesk, and Expensify.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Education related field preferred
  • Experience designing and facilitating workshops (both in person and virtual) and creating content for member support
  • Knowledge of the independent school sector
  • Interest in organizational development and leadership in organizations
  • Ability to travel around 6-8 days per month dependent on the academic calendar, currently subject to COVID-19-related conditions; FolioCollaborative is committed to keeping its employees safe and healthy
  • Ability to attend two 3-day company events (Folio Summer Institute and National Association of Independent Schools Annual Conference)
  • Strong writing and communication skills
  • Experience with project management tools including Google Suite, Salesforce, Asana, Slack, Pendo, Zendesk, and Expensify
  • A self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit who takes initiative and ownership—previous experience in technology startup environments a plus

The salary range for this position is $80,000-$100,000.
