As inquirED scales to meet the mission of bringing inquiry to every student, we are looking for a Director of People who can help our culture of collaboration, caring to the core, and having immense expectations, scale with us. We’re looking for a curious, relational, and confident Director of People who always leads by putting our 'why' first. At inquirED, we rely fully on the incredible skills, talents, perspectives, and experiences of each team member to realize our mission of Inquiry for Every Student - the Director of People will be at the forefront of growing this team.

The Director of People will be responsible for supporting all aspects of the employee life cycle including attraction, recruitment, onboarding, development, and retention. They’ll also oversee compliance and all other HR strategy and operations. The ideal candidate will have a natural curiosity about inquirED’s current culture and dynamics of what makes the organization work. They’ll have experience collecting and synthesizing input from team members, identifying opportunities for improvement, and thoughtfully designing and executing on pragmatic solutions that uniquely suit our leadership ethos of transparency and authenticity.

Responsibilities:

  • Deeply understand inquirED’s values and develop strategies and processes for ensuring these values scale with the organization
  • Devise and implement strategies for attracting and recruiting diverse, highly qualified, candidates
  • Build and maintain systems to support hiring process
  • Develop and support the implementation of systems, practices, and processes for onboarding new team members into both role responsibilities and the culture of inquirED
  • Continue to build and evolve inquirED’s talent development processes including professional development, feedback, goal-setting, coaching, and semiannual reviews
  • Support managers in developing core inquirED management competencies including relationship building, fostering agency, nurturing growth, and having immense expectations
  • Manage all benefits at inquirED
  • Manage inquirED’s compliance with all labor and employment laws keeping current on changes in local, state, and federal law

The base compensation range for this role is $110-130K. Total compensation for this role also includes a full benefits package. This compensation range and title may be adjusted based on actual experience.
