Director of Marketing

Learning Ovations is in search of a Director of Marketing to lead our national marketing efforts. We are on a mission to ensure all students are reading at, or above grade level by the end of third grade with our groundbreaking A2i Professional Support System, along with a combination of technology and professional development. The Director of Marketing will work to execute national and regional marketing campaigns across channels to increase brand awareness, drive growth and inform data-driven decision-making. This position reports to the CEO of Learning Ovations and will be instrumental in developing and implementing Learning Ovations’ marketing efforts. The Director of Marketing will be responsible for providing guidance, recommendations and solutions to the CEO by evaluating and developing marketing strategies, planning and coordinating marketing efforts, communicating the marketing plans to those involved, and building awareness and positioning for Learning Ovations. The Director of Marketing will have ownership and accountability for implementation of the full range of marketing tasks hands-on and utilizing internal, partnership and consulting resources in conformance with the approved plan and budget.

Detailed responsibilities include:

●Evaluate and develop Learning Ovations marketing strategy and marketing plan

○Develop and implement our digital marketing strategy to achieve growth goals; collaborate with team leads to design, create, and optimize content to engage audiences.

○Own the day-to-day marketing operations of website; lead SEO strategy and implementation, optimize content, oversee keywords and tagging, and link building.

○Support marketing efforts as needed for live events, conferences., etc.

●Manage Learning Ovations’ communicationand online presence

○Support operation of social media channels and closed groups; oversee content optimization, social posting and integration tools. Experience with influencer marketing and paid content partnerships is a plus.

○Lead best practices and inform team on emerging trends; work with teams to create guidelines and toolkits for partners/schools.

●Develop digital and traditional marketing campaigns across multiple platforms

○Identify and pursue media channels that will allow marketing materials and education content created by Learning Ovations to reach a broad audience of school leaders and decision makers.

○Design and create new graphics, images, and materials to aid in growth efforts as well as support ongoing partnerships.

○Measure, analyze, and report campaign performance and deliver weekly campaign performance briefs based on agreed upon KPI’s.

●Track Learning Ovations’ marketing results

○Ensure regular reporting of data and communication to internal team; identify opportunities and recommend solutions for improvement based on data and organizational mission; build buy-in and consensus for action.

●Continually review changes to the market, consumer trends and the activities of competitors, adjusting the marketing plan if necessary

●Perform a gap analysis of existing marketing assets and develop a plan for short- and medium- term improvements

●Support as needed in the creation of marketing assets

Qualifications:

●5-7 years of experience marketing experience; experience with education organization brands a plus.

●Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, or a related field.

●Prior experience working in the non-profit or education sectors a plus.

●Experience with SEO and best practices, Google AdWords, Facebook (FBX), Doubleclick Bid Manager (DBM), or similar platforms.

●Experience with Salesforce a plus.

●Experience with digital marketing strategies, campaign planning and implementation, KPIs, and reporting across channels and tactics.

●Experience creating and optimizing digital content; proven success optimizing content for increased engagement, SEO best practices, personalization principles, and testing.
