Our PersonalizedPD product combines 1:1 coaching, an innovative fast-cycle learning methodology, and proven instructional strategies to help educators create more learner centered environments in K12 schools. The Role: We are seeking an experienced marketer, communicator, and strategic action-oriented leader to join us as Director of Marketing. You'll lead the development and execution of marketing strategies designed to meet and exceed the company’s revenue goals. You'll use company, consumer, market, and competitive data to create, launch and optimize integrated marketing programs that promote the BetterLesson brand, engage prospective K12 partners, and generate leads.

As an integral part of our Growth Team, you'll support the Chief Revenue Officer and partner with Sales, Product, and Partner Success teams to develop go-to-market strategies that help drive the growth of our business.

Responsibilities:

  • -Create data-driven marketing programs that generate new sales leads for our growing business. Design programs that turn leads into engaged partners.
  • -Forge strong communication and mutual reliance between marketing and sales team.
  • -Drive the creation of brand messaging strategies and content marketing that position BetterLesson as the leader in professional development for educators.
  • -Own + Manage the links between our OER business and our paid business. Optimize conversion rate between the two.
  • -Define and manage a region-specific marketing plan based on the overall company marketing strategy.
  • -Lead internal and external teams to ensure campaigns are executed on time and within budget.
  • -Establish standard methodologies around the targeting, testing, timing, and segmentation of campaigns.
  • -Partner with growth team data analyst to continuously optimize marketing programs.
  • -Forecast and present to senior management and help the CRO achieve greater marketing success.

Desired Skills:

Excellent organizational and writing skills with the ability to handle multiple projects and meet strict deadlines. Ability to mentor/influence team members to ensure marketing projects are moving forward. Positive attitude and excellent communication skills. Experience building bridges as you are crossing them. Desire to work in a fast paced environment, with multiple and changing priorities while maintaining strong focus on execution and results.

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of progressive B2B or B2E marketing experience
  • Demonstrated creativity and track record of successful marketing programs
  • Working knowledge of product development and sales processes
  • Proficiency with marketing automation platforms
  • Excellent management + interpersonal skills
  • Excellent writing, presentation, data, and problem-solving skills
  • Embraces risk, speed, & failure as teachers
  • Has a passion for education
  • Embraces and exudes experimentation & startup hustle
  • BA/BS preferred
