Director of Customer Success (EdTech in higher education)

Full time - remote based

PlayMada is seeking to hire a full-time Director of Customer Success, focused on developing and executing customer success strategies to promote sales and support customer usage of our digital science resource for higher education.

In this role, you will:

  • Develop and execute strategies for driving user adoption and usage
  • Apply a results oriented approach to develop thoughtful and creative communication with our customers and prospects
  • Build strong customer relationships by maintaining high levels of engagement
  • Actively identify opportunities for automation across our suite of tools
  • Work closely with the small team to develop and implement creative marketing strategies
  • Apply analytical thinking, with a data driven mind-set
  • Liaise with higher education procurement and develop 3rd party sales channels

This role is instrumental in supporting our strategy to communicate the value proposition of PlayMada’s higher education chemistry digital resource to US college instructors to drive web traffic, lead generation and conversion and instructor adoption while developing and executing a data driven customer journey to foster usage and increase the impact on instruction and student learning.

You will be responsible for developing and executing marketing campaigns (email and social) including but not limited to, campaign planning, execution, list management, and optimization of cross-platform marketing efforts. You must be highly proficient with MailChimp, Google AdWords, and Facebook advertising.

You should have excellent written communication skills with attention to detail. We require you to have former experience with higher education customer success with proven experience to engage and foster usage, as well as experience with higher education marketing sales.

You should have a can-do attitude and can think strategically, plan and execute across marketing, sales and customer success. You should be experienced in creative marketing and be able to develop and execute best-in-class marketing and customer success programs directed to higher education instructors.

This role will report to the General Manager and work in close collaboration with the Management team on strategy.

Qualifications and skills

  • Minimum BA, with science and or math focus.
  • 5+ years higher education experience across marketing and sales
  • 3+ years’ experience managing/leading customer success, account management while also 2+ years specifically in education technology, digital publishing
  • Analytical and process-oriented mindset
  • Demonstrated desire for continuous learning and improvement.
  • Enthusiastic and creative leader
  • Willingness to work in a small dynamic, hands-on oriented team environment.
