THEOPPORTUNITY

The Achievement Network is looking for an innovative, entrepreneurial, and analytical thinkerwith excellent communication skills and a drive for results to be acritical leader on ANet's Organizational Sustainability &Operations Team. The Manager, Financial Planning & Analysiswill be responsible for leading the finance function to ensureANet's financial sustainability as the organization continues togrow and evolve. With excellent project and people managementskills, this Manager will lead a financial planning team whilebuilding out a high-performing finance function through drivingsystem and process innovations throughout thedepartment.

This is a great opportunity for a highly motivated, energetic individual who is ready to roll uptheir sleeves and quickly add value within a fast-pacedenvironment. This is also an ideal position for a finance professional lookingto leverage their technical talents to drive impact. This positionwill report to the Chief Financial Officer and will workclosely with a six-person team supporting an organizationaloperating budget of $32 million.

WHATYOU'LL DO

Set a clear vision and strategy for the future direction of ourfinance team

Help drivethe development of financial strategies to ensure organizationalsuccess

Manage thedevelopment of internal financial planning and reporting tools andother software to support expected growth

Train budgetmanagers on the use of financial tools, budget development, andexpense tracking and analysis to ensure we are on track to meet ourlong term sustainability goals

Build,develop, and retain a high-performing and highly engaged financeteam

Manageaskilled and diverse team with a positive, inclusive culture thatbrings out each team member's strengths and that aligns to ANet'smission and core values

Develop teammembers to continuously improve by providing high impact feedbackand coaching; manage towards excellence in their roles while beingcommitted to their long-term development

Act as a strategic thought partner with stakeholders to drivestrong financial decision-making across the organization

Build andmaintain excellent relationships with budget managers, who includesenior management, becoming a trusted advisor yet reinforcingaccountability towards established financial goals andpolicies.

Overseeproduction of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports tostakeholders, including senior management, boards of directors, andpublic and private donors.

Lead financial planning and analysis systems and processes toensure ANet's financial sustainability

Evaluateinternal and external financial trends and provide insightful,high-value analysis to leadership to inform budget planning andmanagement . Help drive development of financial strategies toensure organizational success.

Act as athought leader concerning best practices for financialforecasting.

Prepare shortand long-term financial projections.

Managedevelopment of internal financial planning and reporting tools andother software. Train budget managers in the use of financialtools, budget development, and expense tracking andanalysis

Recommend andimplement changes to financial practices, policies and proceduresas they relate to budgeting and financial forecasting.

Supportfinancial compliance requests including state, benefit andinsurance reporting

You bringfamiliarity and comfort with financial systems (QuickBooks, Egencia, ExpenseWatch) and advancedMicrosoft Excel skills

You have apassionate commitment to and a sense of urgency for the support ofschools, along with a belief that all students can achieve at highlevels

You aremotivated by working in an environment where we live out our corevalues daily and are eager to examine personal archetypes andbiases while discussing topics related to race, class, andprivilege which relate to ANet's Advance Equity and People Mattervalues

Ideal candidates may also demonstrate the followingpreferred qualifications:

You bring prior financial planning and analysisexperience

You bring comfort and familiarity with managing the financefunction of a growing organization with diverse revenue streams(including earned revenue and philanthropic dollars)
