Director, Enterprise Product - Industry Programs

Emeritus - Remote - Full time

We are seeking a passionate and collaborative digital education product leader to join our enterprise product team. You will play a crucial role in defining our industry programming strategy and will be accountable for developing and managing our portfolio of industry-aligned programs for enterprise customers. 

You will build and lead a distributed team of education product managers and content strategists in the development of products that address the most critical upskilling and reskilling needs for employers across priority industries.You are passionate about building world-class education products by cultivating a collaborative, customer-obsessed culture where data and customer context inform all decision making. 

 You have a proven history of achieving successful outcomes for both learners and employers alike by building better learning experiences and delighting customers in margin enhancing ways. You are also highly effective at cross-team collaboration along with the ability to build trust and lead through change.


  • Lead product planning for the Industry Program portfolio to define strategic priorities at the industry, discipline, job family level.
  • Design and develop programs that achieve product-market fit by meeting the needs of both learners and employers.
  • Shape these programs through close collaboration with customers, teams from Emeritus’ other business lines, as well as with our university partners.
  • Bring a deep industry perspective to identify portfolio gaps and opportunities with in-depth analysis of the market, product performance metrics, and input from key stakeholders across the business.
  • Partner with goto-market teams to create awareness and drive revenue for priority programs and explore ways to make the portfolio more successful.
  • Recruit, retain and develop top product management & content strategy talent.


  • 6+ years of experience leading the development of digital adult education products including extensive content/portfolio strategy experience.
  • Demonstrated experience leveraging qualitative and quantitative inputs to create deep understanding of customers and elevate the voice of the customer in decisions that affect program strategy and the product experience.
  • Ability to scale a nascent business into a large business in a short timespan. Work on aggressive launch targets, mobilize cross-functional teams, articulate customer value proposition, drive revenue through marketing and sales, etc.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to work seamlessly with multiple stakeholders in a global, cross functional team.
  • Experience with customer development principles including customer discovery and validation.
  • Strong commercial understanding: financially fluent and with a facility for data and its interpretation to commercial advantage.
