Director, Demand Generation and Marketing Operations - remote

Job Description

As the Director of Demand Generation and Marketing Operations, you will work to create scalable processes that ensure best practices in lead generation and database management, and devising our company demand generation strategy and approach. You will also conduct complex data analyses that will be used to inform strategic decisions by stakeholders from across the company. You will be working in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects at once.

Key Responsibilities

Demand Generation

  • Create demand generation strategy and campaign approach.
  • Create individual and group buyer personas for our prospective customers. Use data to create lead scoring from our activities, optimize marketing mix and messaging.
  • Identify channels that track the customer journey and implement best practices in workflow automation.
  • Select and solidify relationships with list providers and other vendors who can assist with database growth and cleanliness.
  • Drive account-based marketing strategy and implementation.
  • Deep collaboration with sales, customer success, sales operations, product marketing and content marketing to develop positioning, targeting, messaging and gated content/assets.
  • Ensure optimized website, landing pages, integration with CRM and other marketing automation; drive website conversion, A/B testing and optimization initiatives. Optimize SEO and SEM strategy for our websites, landing pages and blog, driving additional lead generation activities through online channels.

Marketing Operations

  • Develop marketing automation strategy, leverage Pardot, Salesforce, Google Analytics, and other martech tools to execute and track the success of programs.
  • Create and manage marketing operations including the marketing budget, tools and infrastructure requirements, reporting, and dashboards to demonstrate ROI.
  • Hire and develop exceptional people to build a world-class demand generation and marketing operations team.
  • Develop systems and analytics to measure our success of penetrating our target accounts, build and manage dashboards/leverage marketing tech stack.
  • Develop a standard dashboarding and reporting structure that enables the marketing team to quickly assess the performance of programs/campaigns and adjust accordingly.

Minimum Qualifications

  • BA/BS required.
  • Self-starter with the ability to lead and influence colleagues across other functions; proactive and adept in building internal and external working relationships and alignment.
  • Sharp, focused analytical skills; ability to rapidly assimilate and apply information from market research, customer data and other intelligence.
  • Excellent project management, decision-making and delivery skills.
  • Highly developed communication skills, including content writing and editing.
  • Multi-faceted approach: you’re highly creative while also process- and data-driven as you devise and scale strategies/tactics.
  • Attention to detail; you have a passion for demonstrating quality in tasks big and small.
  • Contribute and collaborate: you eagerly, ably wear multiple hats and jump in to help where needed.
  • Technical expertise with web and marketing analytics platforms required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 7+ years experience as a marketing demand gen/ops.
  • Contributor with a minimum of 5 years experience in B2B demand generation with lengthy sales cycles.
  • Working experience with Pardot and Salesforce.
