Direct Sales Representative

We are seeking a Direct Sales Representative to join our team. This position is temporarily remote due to COVID-19. When our offices reopen, this position will be based out of North Mankato, MN, or Edina, MN.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

The principal accountability of the Direct Sales Representative is to exceed sales goals by increasing awareness of Capstone’s products and services in assigned territories where full market potential and/or product acceptance has not yet been established. The Direct Sales Representative will also maintain, and service established accounts and customer base.

Main Accountabilities:

  • Increase sales volume in the selling of Capstone products with experience in sales support and service of SaaS-based subscription educational technology products.
  • Increase pipeline of opportunities and sales volume
  • Actively seek out new customers and markets to determine needs and appropriate use of products with prospective customers.
  • Develop and implement overall sales plan to exceed target goals by determining: sales strategies; lead sales contacts, customer needs, and department and company objectives including the introduction of new products and services.
  • Prepare and present communications based on market needs.
  • Respond effectively to customer inquiries regarding the identification of needs, product recommendations, sampling of product, pricing, process, and delivery.
  • Accurately record outbound calls, activities and results, opportunities, manage leads, additional contacts, and other details as required in the company CRM system.
  • Plan, attend, and set up exhibits within assigned territories, demonstrating products and following up on sales leads.
  • Maintain an understanding of industry trends and resources Present information to other internal departments regarding competition, needs, and trends.
  • Recommend new products and product modifications,
  • Establish trust-based relationships with prospective customers and key stakeholders, especially at the District level and in a way that enhances Capstone’s position as a trusted resource.

QUALIFICATIONS

Successful candidates would have one year of inside/outside sales experience or one year of customer service experience. Post-secondary education in the areas of sales, marketing, business, or education-related background desired. High School Diploma or GED required.
