The Digital Product Architect will serve as the expert for 6-12 mathematics content, standards, assessments, and innovative practices. The job requires senior curriculum expertise in designing digital courses and a deep mathematics knowledge base. Responsibilities include architecting curriculum products to include the overall delivery of courses aligned to state and national standards, research, pedagogical strategies, formative and summative assessments. Additionally, the architect will also provide training, direction, and leadership to subject matter experts, curriculum specialists, and content writers.


  • Bachelor’s Degree in relatable field.
  • Master’s Degree preferred.
  • Five (5) years of experience in online course development, with responsibility and knowledge of science pedagogy, online learning technologies, science content and course design.
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved may be considered.


  • Provide leadership and facilitate collaboration with support staff, instructional personnel, executive leadership and external clients in the areas of curriculum innovation, data analysis and organization-wide training to ensure a general understanding across the organization of curriculum content and the pedagogies at the center of the product line.
  • Oversee product management which includes managing course catalog and ensuring courses are appropriately created, maintained, and retired in the school management system; keep stakeholders abreast of which courses are being updated and released, and provide answers to the questions from their customers.
  • Manage the subject matter expert model, including gathering input after course releases, analyzing data, and providing solutions to course challenges.
  • Architect the creation of curriculum products to include overall delivery of course aligned to state and national standards, research, pedagogical strategies, formative and summative assessments.
  • Provide training, direction and leadership to subject matter experts, curriculum specialists, and content writers.
  • Negotiate contracts with professional writing specialists in a variety of subject areas.
  • Develop content and assessments that meet state and national standards while using sound and accepted curriculum pedagogical practices.
  • Collaborate with other Curriculum Management and Instructional department team members to seek out and design innovative work for students.
  • Review product data; make recommendations regarding revisions; research new and innovative curriculum practices to incorporate into new and revised courses; recommend new projects to be developed.
  • Review externally produced content and resources to ensure all internal and external standards are met; work with vendors and curriculum partners to write, design, and/or compile required content.
  • Maintain up-to-date information about curricular trends and standards by maintaining professional memberships, attending conferences, and maintaining regular communication with the ADE; prepare presentations as needed to educate others in the organization regarding new digital product trends.
  • Develop and evaluate standard operating procedures and implement changes as required; maintain updated library of standard operating procedures for the department.
  • Meet professional obligations through efficient work habits such as, meeting deadlines, honoring schedules, coordinating resources and meetings in an effective and timely manner, and demonstrate respect for others.
  • Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions.
  • Assign projects and assist staff to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Additional duties may be assigned as necessary.
