Demand Generation Manager, Literacy Marketing

Job Overview:

Lexia Learning is searching for a highly-creative Demand Generation Marketing Manager to lead campaigns and programs for the Lexia Literacy curriculum product line. This person will be accountable for coordinating all aspects of full funnel marketing programs that drive engagement and demand that converts to sales lead opportunities across our product lines. The Demand Generation Manager's central goal is to help grow brand influence while increasing customer acquisition, lead generation and nurturing.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop comprehensive marketing campaigns and programs to drive demand that results in high quality leads that convert to sales opportunities.
  • Drive customer acquisition, lead management and nurturing projects to increase funnel velocity and opportunity conversion.
  • Partner across the team to build “buyer journey” campaign strategies to bring prospects from acquisition to purchase.
  • Steer team members to execute on quarterly plans and events that drive MQLs.
  • Contribute thought leadership to drive overall performance and brand growth efforts, including making omnichannel strategy and marketing technology recommendations.
  • Help to define cross-brand strategy and drive implementation.
  • Stay informed about industry developments and incorporating new best practices.
  • Work in a collaborative team environment to consistently exceed expectations and build solid partnering relationships.
  • Facilitate production meetings to plan and prioritize requests and adjust course as necessary.
  • Provide strategic leadership in the MSP framework to examine campaign results and adjust as needed.
  • Plan and execute multi-tactic marketing programs for both demand generation and lead nurturing programs to include email marketing, events and webinars, direct mail, print advertising, etc.
  • Partner with product marketing, sales and external resources to create targeted messaging and content to support brand awareness and demand generation, i.e. content for our website, digital ads, landing pages, emails, video, interactive, etc.
  • Provide highly disciplined and organized project management and excellent communication across functional teams.
  • Review results of marketing programs and identify ways to improve effectiveness.
  • Identify, qualify and manage internal and outside agencies as needed to execute activities.
  • Manage assigned budgets and duties as required.
  • Develop and create annual marketing plans, quarterly updates to strategy, and manage timelines and execution across marketing resources.
  • Create and test campaigns to maximize conversion.
  • Provide reporting and closely monitor and analyze the health of marketing contribution to the sales pipeline, program ROI, customer acquisition and penetration, contact acquisition and activity.
  • Partner with marketing operations and shared services to drive marketing database strategy and execute on campaigns, i.e. design and editorial services.

Job Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience creating marketing programs with emphasis on demand generation and content
  • Bachelor’s degree with focus on marketing highly preferred
  • Experience in education technology, publishing, or software marketing preferred
  • Experience using Salesforce.com reporting and knowledge of marketing automation systems
  • Exceptional communicator and collaborator with ability to elicit ideas and feedback from a variety of organizations
  • Excellent project management and organization skills with a focus on attention to detail
  • Proven experience in a wide variety of inbound/outbound marketing disciplines, including social media (i.e. Facebook, LinkedIn), paid and organic search, advertising, retargeting, email, direct and event marketing
  • Experience leading planning and teams to execute full funnel marketing programs for the Literacy education market, from demand generation through reporting on the outcomes of campaigns compared to business targets.
  • Strong, team-centric leadership and management skills.
  • Takes initiative and functions both autonomously and as a member of a team, with a willingness to take on and help with routine and last-minute projects.
