Marketing team

AltSchool’s goal is to empower teachers with the tools to build learner-centric environments for all students. The Marketing team has the opportunity to share AltSchool’s vision and mission to partner schools and prospective parents. They are a team that works on a diverse range of initiatives ranging from digital marketing to content development to events with parents and educators.


The Demand Generation/Growth Marketing Specialist will be focused on marketing activities directly tied to the growth of AltSchool’s school partnerships. As the first hire with this focus, this is a unique opportunity for a subject matter expert to build the foundation and systems that enable the planning, design, execution, and optimization of marketing campaigns that will generate demand and leads across multiple channels. This role will report to the Head of Marketing.


  • Design, manage, and execute marketing programs and campaigns across various channels, including but not limited to email campaigns and other digital marketing channels
  • Develop and own the marketing demand generation calendar of integrated campaigns and ensure a smooth handoff of incoming leads to sales
  • Design, manage and execute on the logic for lead scoring, nurturing, onboarding, and all marketing automation activities
  • Create and leverage marketing analytics workflows to evaluate and recognize trends in campaign performance, conversions, and ROI for all marketing activities
  • Analyze MQLs & SQLs to gain actionable insights that help optimize campaigns to drive leads with the most pipeline opportunity and drive future campaign changes/iterations
  • Build and maintain a forecasting and metrics dashboard for all demand generation programs
  • Partner with Sales and Content Marketing to define marketing content needs for all stages of the prospective partner journey, and create the copy as appropriate
  • Document resources for regional teams to effectively tailor universal marketing content for local outreach
  • Collaborate on simultaneous cross-functional projects, ensuring that stakeholders are aligned and receive the appropriate communications
  • Build strong working relationships with key internal groups, including sales, product, engineering, and design


  • 3+ years of marketing experience, with a focus on B2B demand generation ideally with a SaaS product, preferred
  • Experience with campaign testing, data collection, analysis, and reporting
  • Experience with email and web campaigns as well as landing page strategy and optimization
  • Experience implementing and optimizing both SEO and SEM campaigns
  • Experience integrating work with Salesforce (or an equivalent)
  • Experience/certification with Hubspot (or an equivalent) preferred
  • Experience with scaling programs in a high growth environment preferred
