Digital Marketing Manager

We are looking for a Digital Marketing Manager to join our Marketing team and help Pathstream ensure underserved students have access to the best, high-growth career pathways in the modern economy. We’re seeking a creative and data-driven marketing professional, ideally with experience in the education technology (edtech) industry, to help implement and manage our digital marketing initiatives.

Ideal candidates are excited and passionate about Pathstream’s mission to reach diverse populations in higher education through an innovative approach that prepares students for employment in today’s knowledge based economy. This means challenging the status quo of education: creating a unique user journey that gets people excited about learning and keeps students curious about the growing tech world. Ultimately, we need an individual who can develop an innovative brand by telling stories and developing strategies with data.

This position is based at Pathstream’s headquarters in downtown San Francisco, CA and reports to the Director of Marketing and Analytics.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Manage up-funnel strategy using down-funnel knowledge:
  • Develop mid-funnel innovations:
  • Create an unforgettable user experience:
  • Analyze customer behavior across the entire conversion cycle to improve customer experience and increase conversion
  • Manage relationships with external vendors and agency partners to optimize new and existing channels with a strong focus on performance goals
  • Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of creative assets and messaging across all marketing channels
  • Communicate effectively with key stakeholders on business findings and campaign results
  • Manage lead acquisition to ensure smooth lead hand-off for nurturing and follow-up, as well as marketing and sales activities through the lead’s lifespan
  • Manage development and implementation of all mid-funnel marketing strategies, such as email marketing, paid remarketing, and call strategies
  • Develop and refine marketing communications to convert leads to applicants
  • Drive multi-channel lead generation investment and strategy, both digital and non-digital, with a creative media and holistic funnel approach
  • Develop reporting on key performance indicators; analyze and interpret trends and provide actionable insights based on available ad platform results and website analytics data
  • Implement data-driven B2C sales strategies and manage full-funnel valuation and analytics
  • Analyze results from A/B and multivariate tests to drive the use of proven best practices

YOU’LL BE SUCCESSFUL IF

  • You have 2+ years of proven work experience with digital marketing and lead generation
  • You have experience in full-funnel analytics and strategy, from impression to acquisition
  • You have a deep understanding of key digital marketing and sales metrics
  • You have experience using business intelligence and analytics tools such as Tableau, MS Excel, and Google Analytics
  • You have strong quantitative skills with proven experience in analyzing and optimizing marketing performance
  • You’re a creative writer with experience creating appealing ads and campaigns
  • You have proven success running paid search, paid social, paid display and content syndication across multiple channels and platforms in partnership with outside agencies and vendors
  • You're able to have detailed conversations regarding analytics and metrics while balancing with consumer and creative insight
  • You're highly organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and well-suited for a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Bonus points:
  • Experience with marketing in the higher education and/or edtech space
