Data Integration Specialist

Rethink First - Remote - Full time

The Data and Integration Specialist will be a member of the product team and will support the education division by leading and coordinating integration supports for school districts implementing SSO and rostering solutions, running and analyzing custom data reports, providing technical assistance with our platforms, and serving in a technical operations role to support platforms used for internal purposes.

The candidate will work remotely but collaborate regularly with other members of the team based in our New York City headquarters and other regions of the country. This position will report to the Rethink Ed Product Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage new integrations by identifying scope of integration, district specific requirements, and communicating to all stakeholders.
  • Complete end-of-school and back-to-school integration activities and meetings for existing integration customers
  • Proactively support integrated districts by developing materials and enhancing existing processes as needed.
  • Work with the Product Management team to inform necessary logic/business rules for implementation.
  • Provide on-going email and phone support for integration related issues to customers who have systems integrated with Rethink Ed.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and solve complex technical issues with district level IT administrators.
  • Log bugs, cases, or feature requests in Salesforce CRM for engineering teams to resolve while updating districts on progress.
  • Work cross-collaboratively with Professional Services, Product Management, Operations, and Development to support successful integrations.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of any internally used platforms (i.e. product analytics and customer success tools).
  • Assist the professional services and development teams by running custom data reports.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data science, or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience managing and leading educational integrations for SaaS company.
  • Experience with Clever, Classlink, and Canvas.

Technical

  • Understanding of and proficiency with database concepts, integration systems and file transfer processes
  • Experience working with systems and products to include (but is not limited to) SSO, SIS, APIs, and SFTPs
  • Experience with csv file format
  • Experience with API or digital architecture preferred.
  • Experience working with Learning Management Systems (such as Canvas) preferred.

Customer Communication

  • Excellent customer interaction and communication skills
  • Experience with leading and facilitating successful meetings via phone, video, or in-person.
  • Experience in successful and effective communication and collaboration with district and Rethink Ed IT and development professionals
  • Experience in successfully adapting communication to meet the needs of diverse technical experience levels of internal and external customers.

Knowledge and Expertise

  • Maintain knowledge of best practices in educational integrations as it relates to Rethink Ed.
  • Share new best practices and effective implementation and or design examples with the team

Data and Analytics

  • Strong analytics skills
  • Significant proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to analyze complex data from multiple sources, identify trends, and propose solutions.

Company Culture

  • Attend and engage in all company and team meetings.
  • Provide assistance to other departments as required.
