As a product team, we break down complex problems into steps that will create product improvements at rapid speed. You’ll be leading product enhancements and new feature development for both sides of the marketplace. This position will report to the VP of Product.

Your Role at Swing Education:

As a Senior Product Manager, you’ll work closely with our Product and Engineering team to inform the product roadmap and take a leadership role to guide the product’s future direction. As a highly collaborative individual, you’ll work with team members across the organization, including Talent, Customer Success, Marketing, Sales, General Management and Finance/HR. Additionally, you’ll have the opportunity to work directly with our substitute teachers and school partners to create a product that they love and find impactful in their daily lives. At Swing, we:

  • Collaborate cross-functionally: The product team works collaboratively with internal Swing teams, subs, and school admins to identify, research and prioritize problems to be solved. You will help facilitate conversations across teams to gain clarity about pressing issues, provide thought leadership to move discussions forward, and gain alignment on potential solutions and future direction.
  • Execute and build features fast: We work hands-on with Design, Engineering, and our users to bring product ideas to life, from concept to launch. You will vigilantly break down and prioritize features to get an MVP out the door, while maximizing impact and value. You’ll write specs to enable a smooth build, giving Design and Engineering context around the problems we’re solving, the users we’re impacting, and relevant edge cases and acceptance criteria.
  • Utilize data skills: You’ll research and analyze data to uncover insights and make product recommendations and decisions. You’ll define, track, and analyze metrics that inform the success of our product, including KPIs.
  • Champion our users: We listen and dedicatedly give voice to substitute teachers and school partners, conduct quantitative and qualitative research to synthesize product requirements that enhance user satisfaction, in collaboration with Design and teams across Swing.
  • Are knowledgeable about the product and industry: You’ll maintain product and market knowledge to help guide Swing’s strategic and competitive position, find opportunities to incorporate new product features on an ongoing basis, and possess deep understanding about the Product on behalf of all users.

Some of the experience and skills you’ll posses:

  • Ability to prioritize problems across all user groups, balance many simultaneous projects, handle different user interests, and spend your time and energy effectively
  • Strong product management skills, including most importantly the ability to differentiate between building what is asked for and what is truly needed, while keeping in mind long-term product goals
