Data Analytics Lead

Ironhack - Multiple Locations - Full time

The Education Team at Ironhack is seeking a Data Analytics Lead to take charge of our Data Analytics bootcamp as well as to lead/support the data initiatives in Education and cross-functional departments. We expect an experienced data scientist with the ambition to make real impacts in education by sharing your knowledge and expertise in data. You will be instrumental in building a world-leading data analytics curriculum and developing the data-informed decision making process at Ironhack.

The Data Analytics Lead is responsible for:

  • Leading the development and improvement of the Data Analytics curriculum.
  • Onboarding and supporting Data Analytics teachers at our global campuses.
  • Designing and developing assessments for student learning and outcomes.
  • Collecting and analyzing feedback of the curriculum which is translated to actionable improvement plans.
  • Staying up to date with the latest progress and future trends in the data industry.
  • Researching and planning the roadmap for future curriculum development.
  • Leading other adhoc data analytics initiatives within the company.

The Data Analytics Lead will also:

  • Lead the design and implementation of Learning Analytics in our soon-to-launch new Learning Management System.
  • Co-lead the design and implementation of a data analytics pipeline that connects cross-functional departments including Product, Marketing, Admissions, Education, and Outcomes.
  • Become the main point of contact of data and help shape/promote a data-informed decision making culture across the company.

The Data Analytics Lead will report to the Global Education Lead. Preferred work location is Miami, but candidates in other locations where Ironhack is present (Madrid, Barcelona, Paris, Berlin, Amsterdam, Lisbon, Mexico City, and Sao Paulo) will also be considered.


#Is This You?

  • 3+ years of experience in Data Analytics, Data Science, and/or Data Engineering.
  • Solid foundation in statistics and probability.
  • Proficient in Python and SQL.
  • A solid understanding of APIs and data warehousing concepts.
  • Familiarity with contemporary industry software and tools including but not limited to: Linux, Git, AWS, Google Analytics, Jupyter, Tableau.
  • Extensive knowledge in data analytics libraries for Python including but not limited to: numpy, pandas, scipy, seaborn, matplotlib, sklearn.
  • Ability to effectively convey technical knowledge to novice learners via writing.
  • Compassion for diverse types of learners.
  • Strong product, project, and people management skills.
  • Can-do attitude.
  • Great communication skills.
  • Fluent in English writing and speaking.
