CONTRACT INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGNER Big Picture Learning is seeking an Instructional Designer to develop distance education coursework for our Learning Big Picture platform. The Instructional Designer will work remotely, collaborating closely with Regional Directors, instructional designers and other Learning Management System LMS development team members to build courses, and develop instructional materials. This person will: Work collaboratively with BPL staff to develop courses on our Learning Big Picture online platform Design and produce learning materials in a variety of formats, converting content to LMSready format Edit video clips to include in courses using Camtasia, Adobe Premier Pro, or similar Integrate media materials in courses Work with the Learning Big Picture team to ensure the courses developed meet or exceeds Big Picture standards for quality, and is aligned with Big Picture’s pedagogical approach Conduct train-the-trainer virtual sessions to go over new and updated materials with our instructors Promote understanding of best practices, policies, and procedures regarding instructional accessibility, copyright, FERPA (privacy), and information security Qualifications: Experience designing and publishing course content in a learning management system using a rich-text editor Demonstrated experience with online education delivery formats, including mobile applications Experience editing video in Camtasia, Adobe Premier Pro, or similar Experience managing complex projects Extensive knowledge of instructional design and adult learning principles Excellent communication skills- written, oral, interpersonal and presentation skills Experience consulting and working remotely Experience with webinar facilitation Interested candidates may send a cover letter and resume to firstname.lastname@example.org
