There is a major shortage of childcare and preschools in the United States and we believe one of the best ways to increase access for families is to grow supply through starting in-home child care and preschools. We work with talented teachers and parents to start high quality, licensed in-home early childhood programs. We provide assistance with licensing, setting up a classroom, setting pricing, building a website, managing payments, and everything in between. Our software allows teachers to manage their students, parents, and their school from one dashboard, reducing administrative stress and burden and allowing teachers to focus on what they do best – caring for and educating children. Parents come to Wonderschool to find programs, schedule visits, enroll their children, and make payments.

We currently have a presence in the greater New York area and in the West Coast and are focused on partnering with additional talented educators and caregivers to offer programs in their communities.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This is exciting because you would be the first customer success hire at Wonderschool. You will be responsible for ensuring new Wonderschool Directors receive an amazing experience while they are being onboarded to Wonderschool. You are fast, entrepreneurial, extroverted, really strong with numbers, have a growth mindset, and have deep comfort with ambiguity.

All Directors who join Wonderschool join in different situations - they could be moving, they could need to figure out how to get a license with the State, they may just want to start generating parent leads. No matter the situation, you will provide an incredible experience for Directors and then share those learnings with everyone around you - your manager, the product team, other customers success leaders in other communities to ensure best practices are being shared across the company.

This is a full time job. You will report to the Community Manager in your city.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with Directors to find a new location to start their programs and ensure that space meets licensing expectations
  • Work with Directors to receive a license as quickly as possible,leveraging relationships with personnel in licensing offices.
  • Work with Community Managers to ensure they are bringing on the best Directors to achieve success on Wonderschool.
  • Work with Directors to figure out the optimal price, hours, and days to operate their program.
  • Report learnings to the product team to build efficiencies into Wonderschool.
  • Coach Directors on how to make the best business decisions for their business, moving them along an efficient launch timeline.
  • Ensure Directors are moving through the Wonderschool online bootcamp as quickly as possible
  • Share best practices with the Wonderschool team
  • Ensure Directors are able to secure Insurance
  • Report to community managers and execute on weekly progress
  • Interface with Mia (head of early and education) and Mentoring team to triage support for directors.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 2+ years of work experience
  • 1+ years in a customer success, account manager, or support role OR 1+ years starting a business
  • 1+ years at a startup or very fast paced environment
  • Availability to be on call the majority of weekends to answer Director questions (that's when they are most available)
  • Looking for growth opportunities
  • 2+ years experience using Microsoft Excel

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with entrepreneurship

PLUS

  • You’ve sold something before - lollipops in middle school, lemonade in grade school, a small business as an adult
  • Have a business or economics degree
