We are seeking a full-time Curriculum Specialist for our Secondary Curriculum team with extensive knowledge in reading instruction and pedagogy, as well as experience in curriculum design at the secondary grade level. This position will allow you to join a team of passionate educators who are dedicated to creating a blended learning reading program.

The Secondary Curriculum Specialist is responsible for:

  • Creation and refinement of educational content (digital and print) for secondary curriculum programs
  • Creation and maintenance of tools and resources that explain the pedagogy and rationale behind the program design
  • Creation and maintenance of standards alignment documents and reports

Essential Job Functions:

  • Supports writing of instructional content for secondary curriculum programs by:
  • Writing wordlists and audio to support program enhancements and maintenance - US & UK programs
  • Attending audio recording sessions to provide coaching and ensure quality of recordings
  • Participating in content QA at various points of development cycle
  • Collaborating with product team to review instructional design
  • Maintains and updates program documentation that supports alignments to educational standards, as well as documentation that provides detailed descriptions of program activities; collaborates with stakeholders (e.g.,Product Management, Educational Funding and Procurement) on related projects as needed.
  • Maintains current knowledge of literacy, blended learning and ed-tech research and trends

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Education or related field required (preferred)
  • 4-6 years relevant work experience
  • Industry & Domain Knowledge - Blended curriculum, ELA instruction, writing for Ed. Tech, curriculum standards and instructional design best practices
  • Expertise or Training in Structured Literacy (preferred)
  • Experience teaching adolescent students, in classroom or direct-instructional settings
  • Professional, polished oral communication and presentation skills
  • Strong written communication and sharp editorial skills also must be demonstrated
