ABOUT OUR CONTENT TEAM

The Content Team is responsible for managing and growing all of Albert's vast course library. We work with freelance authors worldwide to design, edit, and publish high-quality practice and assessment questions used in thousands of high school classrooms. Albert's Content Team includes two subteams:

  1. STEM Team - responsible for all math, science, and computer science content on Albert.
  2. Humanities Team - responsible for all ELA, literature, and social studies content on Albert.

Our crew of self-identified nerds collaborates to provide teachers 120,000+ practice questions across Core, AP, SAT/ACT, and state exam subjects. We're the kind of people who could spend hours obsessing over the minute differences among various curricula or standards. Everyone on our team is a former classroom teacher dedicated to providing rigorous, inclusive, and standards-aligned digital practice content to the educators who trust us.

In short: Albert's Content Team designs the type of quality content we wish we had when we were in the classroom!

THE ROLE

As a Science Curriculum Manager, you will be part of our innovative team that designs and creates the curricula and content at the heart of Albert's products.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Editing and publishing content. Oversee all efforts related to the development of content in our high school science subjects including Biology, Chemistry, Earth and Space Science, and their AP® equivalents.
  • Enforcing quality standards. Moderate author-submitted content to ensure it meets our standards, provide feedback, and work with authors to incorporate feedback; this role is not focused on authoring questions but instead on managing freelance authors who submit content for review.
  • Developing new products. Lead the ideation and implementation of innovative technology-enhanced curriculum products, working cross-functionally to develop and launch those products.
  • Driving internal improvements. Continuously update and maintain the company's content guidelines and improve content development processes and systems.
  • Supporting product adoption. Collaborate with the School Success team to provide world-class teacher and instructional support to ensure successful Albert implementations.

BENEFITS

  • Competitive salary. We observe the same pay bands, regardless of where you live. For this role, our starting salary is $67,500 - $70,000, based on experience and qualifications.
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance. We contribute 90% of the cost for our various medical insurance options and 85% for vision and dental. We contribute 50% for dependents.

LOCATION

We are a remote-first company. Most of our team is in Chicago, but we have fully embraced a remote culture, with roughly 70% of our team distributed across the United States. You can live and work anywhere in the USA (we are not yet set up to support international team members).
