Next Gen Personal Finance (NGPF), a well-funded non-profit committed to improving access to personal finance education, has an immediate need for a passionate Curriculum Developer to join our team. This position is based in our Palo Alto, California office. In just three years, NGPF has become the one place that thousands of personal finance educators in all fifty states rely upon for resources and training opportunities. 

Looking to make an impact? Your work will improve the financial capability of hundreds of thousands of students. In addition, you will see the impact of your work in the workshops that you lead at local high schools.

As a Curriculum Developer, you will build blended personal finance curriculum for high school and college students. We have made significant progress on building out a comprehensive set of lessons and resources but have needs in the following areas:

.  Repackaging our existing curriculum in new ways to meet specific needs of educators and community groups

.  Creating modules for parents that enable engagement with their children on money matters

.  Developing curriculum for middle school students

.  Researching daily news stories and developing ideas for how teachers can bring these current events into the classroom

.  Designing, start-to-finish, new activities that are engaging, rigorous, scaffolded, and standards-aligned

.  Collaborating with other members of our curriculum team to improve existing products and generate new content

About You:

.  Minimum of three years teaching experience a MUST and experience leading teacher PD sessions is a PLUS

.  Bachelor’s degree from top university

.  Passionate about the need for a free, high quality, engaging personal finance education for all

.  Experience creating blended lessons for your classroom

.  Proven ability to work autonomously in start-up environment with minimal supervision

.  Versatile skill set and ability to get up to speed quickly on areas that are novel to you

.  Flexibility to take on additional tasks that are outside the job description and advance our work

.  Sense of urgency when completing critical tasks

.  Above average attention to detail, accuracy in work product, and proofreading abilities

. Complete comfort giving and receiving high impact feedback to colleagues
